quick and to the point

great summary of the original work by Marshall Goldberg. I think it's best to listen to Marshalls book first and then keep this one in Your Arsenal for monthly touch-ups when you need to quickly access the steps to nonviolent communication as you're working on developing your skills.

Excellent Primer for NVC

I found the learning and practicing of nonviolent communication to be cumbersome. This author helps simplify it so that it can be practically useful. Definitely recommend.

Excellent summary of NVC with great, real examples from author's life. Gorgeous, rich, well-inflected narration. Superb!

Requires the reader to inderstand martial arts.

A third of the way through. I thought this to be a perfect "How to" handbook for implementing NVC. But then the author started referring to martial arts and using martial arts terms as metaphors. Knowing nothing about martial arts, this meant that I was unable to properly comprehend the remaining two thirds.

Good narrator, good content.

This book makes NVC simple. I tried listening to the author of NBC narrate that book. It was so hard to listen to and follow, as he did it more like a presentation and went off script. this book simplifies it, gives the important points with great examples,.and is clear and to the point. No fluff, just the good stuff.

I wish I learned this in the elementary school.

I am getting results even if I don't get it right the first time. I am confident that my relationships will benefit from my new approach to communication. Thank you so much!

Perfect 10

An excellent companion to NVC. Micah is clear, concise and accurate. I will hand out this book alongside the original NVC book. Also look for, "Choice," by Jared Finkelstein.

Simplifies the NVC process

This book is helpful when trying to understand and apply the NVC process. It is a good companion to Marshall Rosenberg’s works which are more involved and detailed.

Silence

I purchased this title last year. It was a fully narrated book. Suddenly the title is pure silence. I need a refund.

short, easy to learn and concise.

this is the best one,as a refresher or a quick review before practicing. I have done nvc before, and I didn't want to read a book that's too fluffy and long. this is perfect for getting everything back and it uses simple everday language. not text book like and scripty which makes you sound robotic and awkward like the other ones I read.easy to absorb and execute. thank you!!

Easy-to-digest version of Marshall Rosenberg’s NVC

Excellent succinct explanation of non-violent communication with plenty of relatable examples and situations to apply NVC. Micah is also a clear and easy-to-follow narrator.
I’ll be listening to this every time I need to brush up on my NVC.
