really good

Overall, really good.Can't complain about anything.I do hesitate about the main character being stupid.From time to time, even though his premise is brains

The AI narrator was mediocre ….. normally the AI narrator is horrible

I enjoyed the overall storyline and plot. Not sure how I feel about the main character. A little confused on the leveling process. Definitely don’t understand how the main character can do all of this exercising for weeks and weeks and yet his strength is at zero. I assumed it would all be made clear before the end of the book but the end of the book came and….. nothing. If there was an explanation, I completely missed it. Also not particularly crazy about a main character that just keeps getting handed stuff and falls ass backwards into good situations. Also, the main character seems to need every single tiny little thing to be explained to him, figuring things out on his own doesn’t seem to be his strong suit.

Well told and interesting story.

I enjoyed the story immensely but struggled at times with the AI narrator reading words incorrectly. The most notable being during training when they used the bow of a ship for ranged attacks instead of a bow and arrow. It was a minor detail mispronounced by AI, but was overall a very well written and enjoyable story.

I truly enjoyed the book! It'll be much better with a narrator instead of virtual voice. Still, it's extremely enjoyable!

Good story

I highly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It flows well and keeps your attention without being an over load of information for someone just getting into the world of d&d while being enough for a more experienced d&d fan to enjoy.

The story is very engaging. Some classic examples of story telling with an inexperienced protagonist starting out and leaning new skills on a wild adventure while the unexpected happens to him.

The hero armor is kept to a minimum, There is the inclusion of some special items/stats/skills for the main character but it's not over done. The speed the story and characters progress at is pleasant and nothing over the top.

On a whole my main criticism is some of the language used. I don't like or see the need for certain words to be included in a story. I often listen around the house and have to be careful when my kids are around. I would like to continue in the series but question it this will only increase with future books. I was pleased that it was a clean book sexually speaking. A good story almost always has some romance. The level of detail given does very widely. This story was appropriate and clean...

Really decent for virtual voice

This was a pretty danged good. Definitely good enough to continue. It's available on Audible Plus using virtual voice. VV has really come a long way in a short time. I could barely tell it wasn't a real human. The mispronunciation rate was better than some normal narrators. Recommended.

Slow skill progression

I like how the skill progression isn't rapid like in many series the time and work it is seeming to take reminds me of D&D.

Good story progression. Interesting characters and the character development is entertaining! Virtual narration was pretty good.
