Publisher's Summary

*Named one of the best audiobooks of 2017 by The Times (UK)*

The Angry Tide is the seventh novel in Winston Graham's sweeping series of Cornwall, Poldark.

Cornwall, toward the end of the 18th century. Ross Poldark sits for the borough of Truro as a member of Parliament - his time divided between London and Cornwall, his heart divided about his wife, Demelza.

His old feud with George Warleggan still flares, as does the illicit love between Morwenna and Drake, Demelza's brother. Before the new century dawns, George and Ross will be drawn together by a loss greater than their rivalry and Morwenna and Drake by a tragedy that brings them hope....

FINALLY!

FINALLY! Winston Graham's Poldark series is now complete. For a very long time, books 1-6 and 8-12 were on here, but not number 7, The Angry Tide. Though I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, I wanted my Audible collection to be complete. I live in Atlanta and sit in traffic every day, so I like to listen to these books to pass the time. THANK YOU for FINALLY releasing this one in the U.S.!

The saga continues

If you are a fan of the series and have made it this far then keep on listening. The narrator is great. I like the time period descriptions. And, of course, there is always Ross and the rest of them leading their lives.

One of the Best of the Poldark Series

How Wonderful was the language and the descriptions of every detail that Winston Graham used for The Angry Tide. One could get lost in the Beautiful words and sentences that Mr. Graham gave. He must have been at his peak while writing this book. I also compliment the Narrator’s voice. Well done, Oliver J. Hembrough.

Another sexist narrator

Another male narrator who reads female voices as breathy, whiney, nasal, or just a horrible high falsetto. So tired of hearing this in my audiobooks.

I love the Poldark books.

The narrator was amazing and this was one of the better Poldark books. I enjoyed the plot and there were some twists that I did not anticipate. I am pretty good at predicting most books, but there were some things that I did not predict. If you like poldark books you will like this one.

love polark series

Oliver brings these books to life he characterize each person differently so we as the listeners can differentiate who is speaking. it feels as though I'm listening to a full cast... almost as good as the Dracula (original book) audio cast
