Publisher's Summary

Murray Rothbard was known as the state's greatest living enemy, and this audiobook is his most powerful statement on the topic. He explains what a state is and what it is not. He shows how it is an institution that violates all that we hold as honest and moral, and how it operates under a false cover. He shows how the state wrecks freedom, destroys civilization, and threatens all lives and property and social well-being, all under the veneer of "good intentions".

Good material

The material is great but the book cuts out and doesnt finish chapters. Is a little frustrating not getting all the story.

shoddy editing

The end of every chapter was cut off prematurely. The writing is top notch though.

Garbage, don't waste your money.

the book is probably good, but this recording drops out completely a few minutes into every chapter so I have no idea what the book is actually about.

A good book over all

Overall A good book, only issue is the last sentence of the chapter getting cut out.

terrible editing

The book is great, but every chapter is cut short by a word or sometimes a paragraph. The editing ruins what should be five stars. It is only 7 chapaters...

Great book, but narrator sucks

Needs a better narrator with a non-monotone voice. Other than that awesome book, explains the issue with states well.

Worth it for the short time.

Well voiced and a wonderful piece by the author. Even though short, I find it well worth it for the contents.

Concise, Raw, and to the Point

A well written deconstruction of the State and its insideous hidden nature. A very valuable read for uncovering the truth behind the current (geo)political, social, and philosophical movements.
