Publisher's summary

When best friends fall for the same girl, it takes a family to save the day.

MacTaggarts love to meddle. I learned that lesson long ago, but when my brother Jack sends me to a physical therapy clinic, I have no clue about his real motive. Until I meet my therapist. Kate Wagner is a bossy lass who wants to shrink my head while she rehabilitates my knee. I don't care how sexy she is. The woman ordered me not to ride my Harley, and that's unacceptable.

I might have accidentally kissed her, but I can't stand the woman. So when my British best friend, Hugh Parrish, sets his sights on Kate, I say fine. He can have the overbearing lass.

Callum MacTaggart gets under my skin like nobody else ever has. He's stubborn, sarcastic, and growls at me. Hugh Parrish has smooth talk down to an art, but I don't want him either. Maybe I'm starting to see another side of Callum, and maybe we share a few steamy moments. That means nothing.

Aye, Kate is bonnie, sensual, and clever. But we can never work out, especially since I swore to Hugh that I don't want her. Now the American wives of my brother and my cousins have decided to "help" me by meddling in my life.

Bloody hell.

The American Wives Club is the second multi-series crossover book uniting three best-selling worlds—Hot Scots, Hot Brits, and the Au Naturel trilogy. Get ready for nudists, Wiccans, gypsies, and more!

Caught between a Brit and a Scot

This was my first taste of Anna Durand's world of hot Brits and Scots. Quick summary: Boy meets Girl (his physical therapist), they clash. Boy's best friend flies in to help, meets Girl and likes her. Boy realizes he likes her too. Girl is in bit of a pickle.

Callum MacTaggart is a bit of a grump, but underneath there's a soft side to him. Hugh Parrish, aka Lord Steamy, will charm the knickers right off ya. Kate Wagner is a boss lady who can put both of them in their place. I loved the story. There was humor, spice and a few heartfelt moments thrown in. The scenes with the MacTaggart clan were hilarious!

The performances by the narrators were great. I thought Zachary Webber's Scottish accent was top notch. His imitation of Shane East's voice was pretty spot on as well. Stella Hunter killed it as usual. Her voice is smooth as honey, and does so great with accents.

I highly recommend checking the book out!

Good story but GREAT narration!

First book for me by this author. Have to admit, I got this because you can’t go wrong with Shane East and Zachary Webber donning a Scottish accent - how can it be bad? It was a pleasant surprise. Started off a bit aggravating with issues that could have easily been responded if the main characters were not so stubborn. But it got really good. I loved the focus on the friends resolving their issues. I will take a look at other books by this author because of this one.

Good addition to the Brit/Scot series

I like the story, and for the most part the narration. I had a hard time with Kate though. I couldn't tell if it was how she was written or just the narration choices. She seemed like a cold B most of the time. I did like the narrators for their specific parts. I thought Zachary did a pretty good Scottish accent, but didn't love his "Kate" voice. Stella was great overall. And Shane can never go wrong. I'm glad Callum got his story. I was hoping after hearing Jack's story that Callum would have his own, so I was happy to find this in the crossovers. Worth the read if you like the Brit and/or Scot series.

Kaye and Callum!

Looking for a way to escape and enjoy? This is the book for you! Anna Durand's crossovers are the best! Easy to listen to, easy to fall in love and each one is like coming home getting to see all the characters who we know and love their meddling. This book features Callum, a firefighter who was hurt on the job. But it appears it's more than his knee that hurts. His brother gets him a therapist, both for his physical and mental well being. But when he meets Kate, it's not exactly all roses! These two are at each other from the start. Kate is from the states, and has come to start her life fresh. Now with Callum near her, his best friend Hugh pursuing her and the MacTaggart's playing matchmaker, she is seriously rethinking her decision! Will these two find a way to get along? Will Callum's knee be rehabilitated enough to get him back to work? And what of Hugh's interest in Kate? Give this one a listen! When friends and family butt in, we have laugh out loud moments, fist fights and real Irish passion to burn up the sheets! It's a great addition to this series!

And what fabulous narration! Shane East has a quick part with Hugh, and he is the perfect playboy. Next to Zachary Webber, these two belt out Irish brogue as if it was their first language! Webber plays the broody Callum, and he is so good at this! You can feel the slow burning passion he builds with his voice giving Stella Hunter so much to work with! Hunter comes in as Kate, confident in her work, but not wanting to give into the feelings. It's all in the nuances Hunter gives us, letting us know exactly where she stands. Stellar performance!

I Love this Series!

I highly recommend to listen to the previous series for a better enjoyment. OMG! This crossover series is amazingly funny and steamy. Callum, Kate, and Jack are fantastic characters! Callum is stubborn and very handsome. Kate is sassy, feisty and independent. Jack is handsome and charming. I liked their direct and straightforward honesty. This isn’t a triangle neither a menage romance. The storyling is captivating, and it has some unpredictable twists and turns. This second installment is so good! Impossible to stop listening! I love the MacTagharts and their American Wives! They are amazing! The narration brilliantly brings this story to life. Stella Hunter, Zachary Webber and Shane East did an outstanding job with the narration. This definitely is a formidable team author/narrators, and the audiobook production is flawless. This audiobook is very pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend this series!

Laughed and Loved my way through this! Its going on my favorites!

This is one of my favorites of these
series! I loved Callum, Hugh and Kate!
Each one has their own uniqueness.
Callum is all grumpy and frumpy! He is
being forced to do something he doesn't
want to do. So a bad attitude is all
Callum. Hugh is his bestie Brit who
comes to save him from the American
Wives Club. He becomes more involved
than he intended. Kate is one of my
favorites. She is no nonsense and takes
her job seriously. I loved all her
"Mmmmm-hmm"'s toward Callum when
he is complaining. These three are the
heart and soul of this story.

Then we come to a point that the American
Wives Club has become mobile and is
fixated on Callum. There is a lot of Scots,
Brits and a few nudists involved. What
these guys are up to make me laugh.
Poor Callum and Hugh.

I did listen to this gem on audio. It has an
all star narration that rocks all those
accents! Zachary Webber, Stella Hunter
and Shane East all do an outstanding job
and really enhance this for my listening
pleasure!

Swoon-Worthy Scot vs. Brit Romance

“Normal hasn't worked out so far. Might as well try a holiday in crazy town.”

The MacTaggart Clan is up to their usual shenanigans, which means sexy Gaelic phrases, shinty, and even a wee bit o’ witchcraft. Determined to help each MacTaggart find their happily-ever-afters, the American wives club has earned a reputation as meddlesome matchmakers. With a one-hundred percent success rate, who can blame them for keeping up their efforts? If you think the American wives club does all the meddling though, think again! The MacTaggart men enjoy sipping the tea and meddling, perhaps even more than their American counterparts. I love Anna’s well-rounded, dynamic characters. The MacTaggart family is so closely woven, I love how they have each contributed to the other’s stories. Anna flawlessly combined her stories in this multi-series plot. I enjoyed how each element of the Hot Scots, Hot Brits, and Au Naturel series emerged throughout The American Wives Club. If you’re a fan of hot accents and a strong heroine, you won’t want to miss this audio!

“I need to show her I am not a grumpy Scottish bear and that we can have something good together if she'll give us a go.”

Zach, Stella, and Shane are all go-to narrators for me. The three of them together are absolutely fabulous! Broody Scottish Zachary Webber is hands-down my new favorite Zach! His accents are flawless and he gives a distinct voice and personality to each character. I love Zach’s range and characterizations in this audiobook. There are a lot of characters to bring to life, and he did so, fantastically! Stella Hunter is a magnificent force as Kate Wagner. As the unrelenting physical therapist, she gives the character a passionate, funny, sultry personality. She brings Kate and every other character to life beautifully. Her accents are on point and she seamlessly alternates between female and male characters. Shane is perfect as the consummate charmer, Hugh Parrish, AKA Lord Steamy. Shane’s honeyed, seductive voice masterfully embodies Hugh’s lighthearted and suave personality. Shane and Zach balance each other perfectly as they bring the effervescent Brit and the prickly Scot to life. Stella magnificently rounds out the trio with her feisty, brilliant, sensual American heroine.

I love these crossover books!!

I enjoyed every moment of this book and most definitely the day they first meet! Callum is so grumpy and does not want to comply with his brother Jack’s wishes for him to get therapy, both mental and physical. Kate means business and not going to let Callum get away with anything. She does her best to help him no matter how much of a fight he puts up. She suggests he turn to his best friend to talk to him about what’s bothering him in the hopes that will help him learn to deal with his issues. What she was not expecting was Lord Steamy, Callum’s best friend Hugh Parrish, to try to put a monkey wrench into the whole situation. This book was funny and hot and I LOVED IT!

It was an absolute pleasure to listen to Stella, Zach and Shane in this book. They were fantastic with each character and their accent work was on point!
