Publisher's Summary

The All-Pro is the third book in the Galactic Football League series, following on The Rookie and The Starter. Seven centuries into the future, aliens and humans compete for the greatest prize in the universe: the Galaxy Bowl trophy. Quarterback Quentin Barnes enters his third season at the helm of the Ionath Krakens. He's reshaped the team in his image, and the time for excuses is over; it's win or be replaced. Quentin's championship quest carries him and his teammates across the galaxy in a brutal 12-game season fraught with injury and death. But he faces more than just on-field challenges. As he enters a free-agent year, several franchises vie for his services. Will he play for a new team? Or will he remain with his beloved Krakens? And then there's the slight distraction that someone, somewhere, is trying to assassinate him - and he doesn't know why.

Fantastic and Hilarous

If you could sum up The All-Pro in three words, what would they be?

Even if your not a sports fan this book series is really great. Its funny and full of great characters.

What did you like best about this story?

The humor is laugh out loud good, and I don't usually laugh at book and movies

Have you listened to any of Scott Sigler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Scott Sigler is a really good narrator, he does character inflections, and believable emotion. He is easy to listen to and I look forward to anything new he reads.

Any additional comments?

I read or listen to everything he write or reads, after this series I mas turned into a real fan.

Touchdown!!

These books are just plain fun. They have some of the best audiobook production I've listened to. The All-Pro was the best one yet. If you like football, science fiction, and a great story, pick these up now!

Continues the good.

Another great book in the series, although there were chapters that focused way to much in other aspects like biology and history.

Gets you ready for football

This is the third book in the series and it is fantastic. This is the type of story and performance that makes you want to stay in the car and listen even though you have arrived at you destination. It is like Junky Gin ever minute of listening is like a touchdown.

Another great GFL tale!

Scott Sigler sums it up in a phrase we all remember. If you want something done right, do it yourself. A fantastic story that makes the GFL series a must have for the casual or football fanatic. Well hec, even if you don't watch football, I bet you will enjoy the book!

Incredible book series...

Would you consider the audio edition of The All-Pro to be better than the print version?

Almost all audio books are better then the print version. The only time they are not is when the person reading it is just awful. Well Scott rocks at reading the books.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The All-Pro?

sorry...no giving it away...

What about Scott Sigler’s performance did you like?

All the voices. The tribute's to The Godfather, Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, Captain Kirk, South Park and on and on...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I look goofy laughing as I walk or drive while listening.

Any additional comments?

As a fellow Michigander, it is awesome to have a great author listed in our state credits. I have purchased every book listed that Scott has written, most via Audible.

Fantastic Performance and Production

Another great GFL book! These books were originally presented as a podcast. When they were converted to proper audiobooks they had to edit out the beginning and end of each episode. It really seemed like it was written for the podcast format. The first two books they edited out too much - mostly the bassey pads used to break up the story. The timing felt rushed. THIS book they left in the pads and it is much better. I miss the music used in the podcast but that is less of an issue.
Sigler’s performance is amazing! He is incredibly consistent with the character voices. The post processing of his voice is perfect! In later books of Sigler’s, a “professional” voice actor does the reads. Sigler has a dark and twisted sense of humor that other readers fail to convey. Thankfully this book is read by the man himself.
With the added processing and sound effects it’s very much like an audio drama. This is the standard that all audiobooks should strive for. It’s sad they only let you give it 5 stars.

This book really ramps up the story

Book 3 and the story is starting to pick up, the cagractee development of all the main characters is really taking shape and you can see a lot of things you hope will come to fruition in the later books.

Highly recommend this series as it has some tense sports, character relationships and lots and lots of violence.
