love scenes with sound effects actually makes them XXX rated should be on warning

Hated sound effects!!!

Loved the story but had to fast forward through the sex scenes. The sound effects were more suited to porn. Not what I want in a story. Good writers don’t need all that to get the point across in a good story!!!!

I just can't with the "sounds" ...

the stories were good, the narration was good EXCEPT the sounds and the steamy parts, just too much! it actually ruined it for me

Too many sex sounds in the background of the narration

The story is ok but the plot and characters are somewhat under developed in some of the novels. The narration is ok, but the sex sounds in the background are way too much!

Good story; horrible narration

This book is totally ruined baby the narrated sex scenes. The gasps, grunts, and sound effects - yes, sound effects - make it sound like a cheap porn flick. And there’s lots of sex. Read this, but DON’T LISTEN.

- female narrators was great
- male narrator was okay. I sometimes found his voice a little robotic and other times fantastic.... so not consistent

cons
- the background noises in the steamy scenes. they would of been okay without the sounds. the sounds are way to much.
- increase the speed to 1.4 to listen to a regular speed.

I would still read/listen to this narrator again hoping the sounds are not in her other books

I love the story but I have to say the extra sound effects are a little much and I really love these kind of books. But maybe it’s cuz I wasn’t prepared to hear other ppl moan lol but good stories !!!

Pleasantly surprised...Very Steamy

The narrators for this series, definitely brought the characters to life. This is one of those series, that surprises you as it grows.

I can’t fault the narrators or the story. I enjoyed it. So why only 4 stars: it was the sounds of the lovemaking. To my mind it was excruciatingly pornographic. It was VERY realistic & I simply couldn’t take it. I was forced to speed thru the love scenes, the wet noises, the moans. I don’t consider myself a Puritan but I felt like I was spying on something very private - even more private than the acting in a pornography film. Sorry.

Bad production detracted greatly from the story

The voice actors did great and I loved how all female characters were voiced by a female and vice versa.

I enjoyed the story and characters.

The production team however missed the mark in a big way. They made every single sex scene sounds like you were listening to a bad porno. No, I am not squeamish in the least and have yet to fast forward through any other scene in any other erotic book. Unfortunately, I found myself trying to figure out what the production team was using for the sound effects instead of listening to the story. I am fairly convinced a wet sponge was being slapped against something for part of the sounds… It got to the point I fast forwarded through any make out sessions and sex scenes. No joke, 5, 10, or more minutes at a time was skipped because it was so distracting.

The take away, the book was good, but I was disappointed to miss a couple hours of the writing. The voice actors were able to provide a variety of voices and accents for a wide range of characters. The cast was large so if anyone has a problem with a character, they should consider the talent it would take to achieve half of what they did.
