Terrible narration

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better narrator

Would you ever listen to anything by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle again?

yes

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator was unable to pronounce many of the English place names correctly, it was slow and drawn out, and awkward.
