Tedious. Hard to get into

The ending was so disappointing. I kept listening hoping it would be worth it. It was not.

Took awhile to get started but good story

I liked this story but it didn’t hold a candle to “Wedding People” so I was a tad disappointed and surprised at the style of writing. I enjoyed listening to it once it got going. The beginning is slow but gets better. I’d recommend this book but felt the author used superfluous flowery language that couldve been left out and made the book more genuine.

Erudite coming of age story

The author’s character dialogue is unmatched. This story is a brutally honest take on childhood and taps into human melancholy with a dark humor.

a long story about nothing!

I thought perhaps this book about 3-5 young people and their adventures from meeting in elementary grade to graduation in the pursuance of one of life's success stories, Or how it would turn into an interesting twist on youth and how troubles and struggles changed one's life good or bad. anything but what it was which was a long story about nothing! other then some very uninteresting sex scenes which didn't develop much pass the 9th grade in performance or experience I'm sad to say. I even waited for that to make it more interesting only to have my high hopes sadly crash and burn along the continued lines of the next few page's. I'm not sure what the vision was the author had for this book or where he was heading but for this reader he solely missed his mark.

Couldn’t Get Through

I bought this title based on my love for The Wedding People. I hate not finishing books- to the point that I’ll struggle through- even on 2x speed. I could not get even half way through..
