Publisher's Summary

A well-organized and welcoming guide to having meaningful conversations with God.

Do you yearn for a consistent prayer life? Do you struggle with distraction when praying alone, timidity when praying with others, or knowing where to start in either setting? Best-selling writer and beloved speaker Chrystal Evans Hurst knows both the freedom and blessing of establishing and growing a lively prayer life and how difficult it can be when prayer itself feels foreign to our daily lives.

In this audio Bible study, Chrystal:

  • Teaches the basic tenets of prayer practice
  • Establishes a realistic and achievable pattern of prayer that will have lasting effect
  • Explains the four postures of prayer - supported by Scripture - that increase our communication and relationship with God.

The Bible tells us that prayer is essential for an intimate and thriving relationship with God, and it's well worth the time and effort it deserves.

The Audio Bible Study series provides a unique learning experience. Instead of sitting down to watch a video teaching for Bible study, listen to the same quality Bible study content on the go! Whether you listen on your commute, while walking outside, or over a lunch break, you can access high-quality audio Bible studies wherever you are. Get the most out of the teaching by diving into the accompanying study guide (sold separately) to walk through reflection questions and individual Bible study to go deeper.

No script needed...Just make it plain

Chrystal's bible study up my heart towards prayer. It helped me feel more ease and free to be authentic more than anything. I don't need a script...just come to God with my whole heart and intentionality. For longtime Inlet prayer be a stumbling block or stronghold for me but no more. I don't to speak Christianese! Just the four tenets Praise, Repentance, Ask/requests and yield.

The word is good but it’s not worth buying the audio

The book divides it in to chapters so if you do a chapter a day, in 6 days you are done. If goal is to spend 28 days developing your prayer life, the audible doesn’t serve your purpose. I would recommend just doing the Bible app plan instead it was amazing. I am probably going to look on the Bible app for a prayer plan instead.

Short and insightful

I really enjoyed this book, particularly hearing Chrystals voice as the narrator. I felt a few more topics could have been added, however, perhaps as prayer is such a personal matter, maybe less was more. I felt the book got better and more insightful as it went on. This book left me wanting more. More time spent with our Heavenly Father who knows and loves me deeply, and His son, Jesus, who rescues me daily.

Highly recommend.
