Just amazing!!!

I absolutely loved this! So much that after having listened to it, I’m also going to go buy a physical copy. The story was heartwarming (and a little heartbreaking at times). The performance was fantastic. As someone who watches her videos on social media, I was extremely impressed that she was able to record the whole book without crying. And that’s not shade…I may or may not have teared up in more than one spot. I highly recommend this and will definitely listen to it again. And in case Elyse ever reads this, please know that, as someone who is pretty much a cross between Boo Radley and Miss Havisham (minus the wedding gown), you help me to feel less lonely, you help me to feel brave, and you give me hope (and laughs, which is just as important as hope).

Genuine Honesty

Her genuine honesty and commitment to being vulnerable with her audience. I think that’s been why she is rising in social media and now with this book. She tells the parts that are not pretty the parts that are truly truly human, and she makes us laugh, not at her, but with her.

It was a lil bit patchy when the chapters changed. But I loved the actual stories.

Elise says the things that only some people think but never have the courage to say out loud.This book is both hilarious and at times heart wrenching. I love this book because I see a lot of myself in her stories.
