Publisher's Summary

He's That Guy

You know, the hero in almost every romance novel. The super-rich, powerful CEO who is beyond sexy. Lives in a penthouse. Is wicked in bed. Has massive.... feet. Is kind of a jerk, but really he's not because he harbors some major secret that, once revealed, explains why he is the way he is - therefore completely redeeming himself and making all the listeners who hated to love him swoon....

Yeah. That one.

Well, I found him.

I'm a writer who has spent years searching for the perfect muse.

Now that I know he exists, I have a mission.

To make him fall in love with me.

This should be easy. I mean, I have issues, but above all, I'm a great catch.

Problem is, I did a stupid thing.

And now he hates me.

Unfortunately for him, he's my That Guy.

And he's going to love me....

Whether he wants to or not.

THAT guy!

I think this book was a total riot! It had perhaps the most bizarre lead character I’ve ever ‘met’. Jake was, a swoon worthy jerk turned good guy. But Penelope was a total wild card.

That said, I laughed, rolled my eyes, guffawed, giggled and sighed my way through this.

Don’t that the two narrators lead you into thinking this is a dual POV telling. It’s NOT! And that was a disappointment. The second narrator did the epilogue. Period. But even that was well done!

Worth it? Oh yes, finger-snaps, finger guns, river dance!

Great book ! But!!! Make narration is only last chapter

I totally enjoyed this book but one reason I bought it is because I enjoy male and female narration! Plus love Aaron Shedlock narration. And for those listeners who like me want what they expect then BEWARE Aaron Shedlock is OMLY last chapter!
Great story lists of love, humor and a HEA. But was disappointed about narration! Only thing that kept it from being 5?across board!

Wish it was better- DNF

I don’t get where all the raving reviews are coming from. The plot line and summary had potential but it ended up being a ridiculous and unrealistic story. I realize these stories aren’t always meant to be realistic but it was just silly. I didn’t even finish it.

IT'S ALL STEAMY SEX AND LOW SPEED DOG POOP CHASES!

If you are looking for an upbeat, laugh out loud, dirty (in more ways than one), sexy and swoon worthy book look no further! I know it's on the shorter side, which is why I almost didn't buy it, but I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did.
I can only read the super dramatic books before I need a fun, witty, feel good. You know the type I mean. Books that are about the fiancee getting killed by an elephant on their honeymoon, him surviving, but the widow has moved on already the milkman. (Because SHOCKER the milk man and the wife paid the elephant to do it!🤯) You know the type.
I loved this because it had a lighter side of drama, and crazy, but it was a romcom at it's core. I really felt like I could connect with Charlotte. I found myself laughing out loud at certain parts, thinking "Yeah I've done that too."
The commentary is quick witted, and the narrators bring that together beautifully! Samantha Cook was born for the role. Aaron Shedlock is actually how I found the book in the first place. He is an amazing narrator!

Aaron Shedlock is only in Epilogue

I am a huge Aaron Shedlock fan. I was disappointment when I didn’t hear his voice until the very last 5 min. A little warning would have been nice. It was a cute story, and very silly. Chuckled more than laughed but chuckled quite a bit. The heroin is crazy - in a good way. Selected this title because if the male narrator. I was not familiar with this author but I would read another.

Funny and enjoyable listen

This was genuinely funny. I often find books that claim to be funny are more eye roll inducing and try-hard slapstick, but I kept chuckling to myself and getting odd looks whilst listening to this.

It’s a bit lighter and doesn’t grab me by the heart as much as some, but still an enjoyable listen.

The male narrator is only for the epilogue, and instead it’s single point of view with the female narrator.

funny/weird

story a bit light on, character weird + whacky though so it was funny. didn't like the full on sex descriptions + lots of swearing which adds nothing to the characters/story really.

River Dancing :-)

Some very funny moments in this book that's for sure, looking forward to the next book in the series.
Narrator was OK, some parts excellent others just felt like it was being read aloud.
But enjoyable enough to make me giggle several times, LOL
FYI: Aaron isn't in the whole book, just the epilogue
