Critically acclaimed, bestselling author Harlan Coben has won the Shamus, Anthony, and Edgar awards during his impressive career. Tell No One is an irresistibly suspenseful thriller infused with nail-biting tension and packed with shocking plot twists.

It has been eight years since Dr. David Beck’s wife, Elizabeth, was murdered by a serial killer. When Beck receives a message containing a phrase only Elizabeth should know, he is tormented to tears. Either someone is playing a sick joke, or the wife he’s never stopped loving is still alive. He’s been warned to tell no one, and as the desperation of his search for the truth intensifies, he heads straight toward a deadly secret.

This audiobook includes an exclusive interview with the author.

Great story. I never expect too much because people tend to under or overrate these books; however, I was entertained. The plot twists are awesome. I never got bored. The narrator was not annoying, unlike some that I have recently listened to. I also enjoyed the interview with the author at the end. There were reviews regarding the investigation process and how archaic it was in the novel, but seriously, just go along with it. I would definitely recommend this to others, and I look forward to reading more of the author's work.

It kept my interest. I loved the Tyree parts. He was a black drug dealer. His was the best part of the story but only a small part. I was intrigued with Eric Wu. I had not read about a thug with his talents before.

My problem was the author using slight of hand or gimmicks rather than substantive suspense. Examples follow.

1. A few times conversations were drawn out to delay suspense for a couple of minutes. It was artificial. For example, A has a question and meets with B to ask it. Instead of asking the question right away, A talks about other things or asks other questions before finally getting around to the main question. Or, A wants to tell something to B but beats around the bush with other comments before getting to it. It bothered me because if I were the character, I would have said the thing right away instead of beating around the bush.

2. Two guys are in a car. If I were one of the guys, I would have said or asked things that he did not. His silence allowed an interesting twist to be revealed a few minutes later. It was convenient for the author, not logical for the reader.

3. I like twists and surprises but the main twist was hard to believe. A loving couple kept secrets from each other, which were the kind of secrets a loving couple would not keep from each other. But that was the basis for the book.

The overall result is a decent mystery story. But my problems were linked to characters’ actions not fitting their motivations.

The narrator Ed Sala was very good. I liked the way he paused. Some narrators don’t pause enough.

Genre: mystery suspense.

3 ½ stars. Above average mystery suspense.

Its a love/hate thing. I love the plot line but skipped entire chapters trying to avoid the brutality. Probably missed some good stuff, but after I forced myself to listen to the first brutal scene, I couldn't do it again. Kept going to see the twists and turns. There were many and a satisfying end.

Great plot. Gruesome brutality

I am a Harlan Cobden fan. I enjoyed the story but the narration was very disappointing ; mispronunciation, uneven tempo and little ability to portray different characters.

A Harlan Coben fan

Plot was great, Kept me guessing.Unfortunately the writing was mediocre. And the characters So so. I like his Myron Bolitar series better. Especially the early ones.

Such potential

Gripping story! I found this very suspenseful, entertaining and gripping! I loved the gritty narration too, lent very well to the story. Well written - this is my first Harlan Coben story and I am a fan for sure, I have several more in my Library and can't wait to listen. Definitely recommended, great story! :)

Gripping, loved it!

not a fan of the narrator. the story is ok, but I don't see why everyone thinks it's the best book he's written.

pretty good story, doesn't live up to the hype.

I feel like there were alot of characters that I couldn’t keep straight idk why I was paying attention but maybe because the narrator his voice reminds me of the narrator from a Christmas story the movie which I am not a fan of and he did some different sounding voices for a few characters but others ran together and I got confused his voice wasn’t unpleasant like some other narrators I was able to finish the book but the story was ehh I mean ok but also like very far fetched and not in a good way there were some twists but over all I wouldn’t recommend I’ll likely not read any from this author in the future I think his voice didn’t match his age and overall I couldn’t even picture the characters in my mind except maybe the Vu guy the rest I’m like just picturing an older man bc that’s what his voice was like and it’s very monotone to me something about it the story it self was different but overall not great

I wasn’t a fan
