Publisher's summary

We’re destined to destroy each other, but we’re going to finish this game, no matter how long or what it takes.

In my line of business, every day dawns with the smell of death in the air. But it’s not a bullet that’s going to slay me. It’s Sabella, the woman who was promised to me—the woman who betrayed me.

I hate and want her in equal measure, an agonizing situation of my own making. We’re heading down a path of destruction, but there’s no turning back. At the first chance she gets, she’ll stab me in the back again. She’s a dangerous risk and a threat to my family. If I were wise, I’d eliminate that risk and leave her funeral to the sharks. I must be an idiot, because I’m going to finish what I started, no matter the cost.

Both story and narrators are excellent.

Both story and narrators are excellent. Story is very attractive from beginning to the end and narrators were perfect for the story.

Love this story

The story is good, very moving; the narrators make the listening even more enjoyable. I hate having to wait for the final book.

Never disappointed!!!

Natasha Night is an author that turned me on to Dark and twisted romance. I cannot wait for the next installment of this book and hate that I have to wait almost a month 😩.

I am in awe of Sabella’s strength.. I just want to strangle them both for bottling up so much that it is why they are in this emotional spin in the first place.

But I am curious how it ends.

And I freaking love the hot ass sex! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

3 Out of 4 Books End In Cliffhangers 😡

I wish I knew what I was getting into before I started listening. The story line is good but drags on and on. First and foremost I appreciate the author’s writing talent but lord there are a lot of words each time Sabella and Angelo interact. The book(s) are filled with miscommunication or lack there of, lots of hate sex, and lots of mental and physical abuse. As strong as Sabella is, Angelo is so weak and wishy washy. The end of each book ends with no real cliffhanger which leaves you feeling empty that you spent time and money only to have to buy the next book, which I guess is what the author wanted. That decision doesn’t always pay off. Plenty of times throughout the 3 books I just wanted to read the ending to see if it was worth buying the next one. I’ll be more cautious about selecting my next read. All in all the story is fine. It really could have been written in one maybe two books if she condensed all the long winded in between words 🫣 the 4th book comes out on Dec 5th, 2023. There is a high probability that I’ll just read the final chapter on kindle unlimited then look for my next read.
