Publisher's Summary

I asked for his criteria for bed buddies - that's the PG version.
He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies.
And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.
Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.
He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.
And dumped.
And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends.
We shouldn’t have become roommates.
And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together...(Except we did.)

I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

Teardrop Shot is a 100K standalone sports romance.

Tears

Loved it. Happy there's a happy ending, some of the drama was a bit much, but the story is worth it. The narration was on point with the story both of them.

Funner, lighter than most Tijan books

That isn't to say that this doesn't have Tijan's signature heartbreak/ache and angst... it does. Ohhhhh, does it though. Tijan is a master at playing your heartstrings like a pianist. She's just a wordsmith. What I liked about this one a lot was the funness that she was able to add to the story. I felt such a range of emotions. It was definitely an enjoyable Tijan ride!

The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Dan Bittner were seriously amazing. I really love the sound of Peachwood's voice. It has this unique sound... soft, yet pretty and feminine. Bittner was just amazing. I felt like he partnered really great with Peachwood.

Stopped at chapter 5. Completely stupid

i tried. i really tried. Heroine had too much crazy. i couldnt get into the story, her crazy was so random and stupid. i have read books with characters with disabilities but this heroine had issues that seemed like the author played 52 pickup with the DSM and picked out whatever symptoms seemed weird. run if you can.

1 star for story (only bc i had to). 5 stars for narrator, i like ms. peachwood.

Great story, loved it.

I really loved this story. It brings attention to different aspects of grief, and coping with it. While it has a undertone of emotionality to it, it still is a light and upbeat story for the most part. It was balanced really well between heavy and light heartedness and it was performed excellently. My only two critics are 1) Dan Bittner literally only performed one chapter, and it was a short one. So perhaps it should say performed by Savannah with a guest appearance by Dan. Which is really totally on Audible I think.
And 2) I wished this story had more than one chapter from the male POV of the H. I wanted to see how Forrester actually thought about things, about Charlie with her quirk, his own issues etc.
that being said the story still does amazingly well at bringing both characters to life and letting you see their side of things. It’s excellently performed and it’s definitely a great story. Absolutely recommend.

slow start

I did love this book however the first 17 chapters drove me up the wall I had to keep stopping the book because Charlie was working my Everlasting nerve. But once I hit chapter 18 started getting better so definitely will give it five stars even though it started off slow. I loved Charlie and Reece's story

Great story, kept you guessing

Not your typical boy meets girl, girl meets celebrity blah blah. Actually had some surprises and a nice spin. Really enjoyed this book.

2.5 why such high reviews?

I was really looking forward to this book. I REALLY, REALLY was hoping to LOVE it. But sadly, I couldn’t force it. I thought this book was boring with tons of fillers. I did like the camp part but it felt off. At first I thought Charlie had some type of Tourette’s (which would’ve made the book a lot better) but then for her random q’s to be a defense mechanism fell flat. I know what she’s been through was tragic but I thought the story didn’t live up to it’s full potential. I like K Webster’s writing for things like this. However, I did really enjoy Tijan’s book Ryan’s Bed. I think this one just missed its mark.
The narration was good but I would’ve liked to hear more of Dan Bittner.

Boring story, mediocre writing

I struggled to finish this story. The characters and romance were poorly developed, and neither of the main characters were particularly likeable. The female lead (Charlie) initially seemed like she had Tourette's syndrome or something, and her internal monologue was often confusing. The sex scenes were rather tame and not, well, very sexy. The conflict between Charlie and Reese (the male lead) seemed forced. Compared to stories by my favorite romance authors (Vi Keeland, Emma Chase, L.J. Shen, Lexi Blake, C.D. Reiss et al.), this did not measure up.

What a journey!

This is a great second chance at love story. It has all the feels and deals with some very heard hitting health issues that affects too many people.
Savannah peachwood and Dan bittner bring the characters to life and are perfect for the book!

not for me

I like seeing things from both perspectives but all 5hat was given here was the girls a few hours in and I'm bored with the slightly desperate woman with psycho stalker vibes

Wow! 5 Stars is NOT Enough. I Loved It.

Flipping heck! I am an emotional wreck! What a truly wonderful story, it was funny, it was romantic, it was so so emotional (for me especially, dementia is a disease I’ve had first hand dealings with). Okay, no more emotional talk, let’s talk basketball, I know nothing about it, but I’m going to make it my mission to watch a game and find out more, especially if there are some real life players like Reese or Juan, because let me tell you, those guys leave all the rest in the dust, they’re perfect book boyfriends. The story follows the quirky and very heartbroken Charlie, an extreme basketball fan. So when she finds herself working the courts at a training camp hosting her dream team with her dream player, NBA superstar, Reese Forster, things start looking up for her (if only she can get her head screwed on straight and stop all the verbal diarrhoea spewing out of her mouth). Reese also has his own issues, he’s dealing with a not so easygoing unsupportive family. Together they eventually learn to let each other in, and things are looking peachy, until that little bit of doubt creeps in and tries to ruin everything. Have they got what it takes to take that extra step, do they even want to try? Strangely wonderful characters, a wonderful story, with wonderful writing, as usual. I was lost in the story, addicted from the first to the very last page. If I could give a book more than five stars, this would be it. Having read both the ebook and having listened to the audio. I’ve got to say, I was way more emotional listening to the audio. Such a wonderful story. Savannah Peachwood did a fantastic job at narrating. Dan Bittner too was brilliant, sadly he was only in for a few minutes, but for those few minutes I was in heaven. Highly recommend.

Tears down my face kind of amazing!

I loved this book! There is so much heartbreak, but don’t let that break you away from the idea of reading this book because it is so worth it, and anyway, what’s so bad about emotions in a book that you can feel? Tijan has never disappointed and this definitely helps prove my point. The romance is so sweet (but not too lovey-dovey), the trauma is deep, and the story is one you won’t regret. If I ever want to read a story but I’m not sure what would fit my mood, I have a list of authors that I know will fill that need because it is always filled with inner truths that just fit. Tijan is definitely in that list, if you have liked any of her previous books or maybe you are trying out this to see what her writing is like, I ask that you try it because when you do, I’m sure you will love it. And if you don’t then that’s fine, just don’t diss the masterpiece ;). I listened to this as an audiobook and loved the narration so much. A warning to those who love a good audiobook with narrators that share perspectives, there is actually only 1 chapter with Reese’s (Dan Bittner’s) point of view and it isn’t very long. Despite that, it doesn’t take away from the story because Savannah Peachwood as Charlie is amazing. There are no regrets with this book. I loved this book!
