Peer Review

I recognize many of the stories as events that happened in my classroom. Others would never be tolerated in my school. As I listened to one incredulous story after another, knowing they were true, I began to get anxious about going back to the classroom. I also dreamed about the situations that were explained, which added to my anxiety. Maybe a disclaimer/warning at the beginning of the book might be helpful.
I am glad I listened all the way to the end, because the inspiring stories and comments that you ended with are what teachers need to remember and the rest of the world needs to know.

Every Teacher Should Listen To

I sooooo can relate to this story since i am a 2nd grade elementaey teacher.

The honesty

This novel is filled with so much honesty. She uses humor to tell truths of teaching but never says that teaching children is not worth the struggles. I recommend every teacher read.

Factual. Brave. I feel validated.

Brutally honest. This is teaching in America. And yet, I wouldn't do anything else. Highly recommend for all new teachers and veterans.

Every Sound

Found this extremely hard to listen to. The Narrator over articulated every sound so that it sounded unnatural. It was hard to attend. The stories are familiar and are definitely causes of reacher misery.
