Publisher's summary

I might be a country girl from the same small town of Sweetwater, Texas, as horse wrangler Roarke Frost, the girl next door who knows him like few know him, but I didn't know enough to save my heart.

He's the reason why I left Sweetwater behind.

But now, fate proves she loves a wicked twist and sends me back to Sweetwater to pull together a Christmas festival - and I run smack into the man again, quite literally. His body is pressed to mine, his hands on my arms, and I'm melting like chocolate in the sizzling Texas sunshine. And I run.

I know it’s not exactly respectable, but it works, just not for long. No matter how much I try to get tangled up in Christmas, I end up tangled up in Roarke instead - and the man has me feeling the heat of our attraction and the warmth of our past friendship. He feels like Mr. Right, but history says he’s Mr. Wrong.

But if he wants a second chance, Roarke Frost is going to have to work for it. He’ll need to prove to me that this holiday is a season of new beginnings, the kind that last forever.

Not as good as the first book

It was still a good book just not to the level of the first one. I found the storyline to be predictable but the characters were likable so it was a good few hours of luke warm romance.

Great story

I really enjoyed this story but I wish that there had been more of Joe Arden doing Roarke’s POV.

Christmas Miracles!

I loved this sequel as much as the first one! Family coming together was absolutely beautiful and heartwarming, and Hannah getting pregnant and having a baby was just perfect...Love Joe Ardens voice...Lisa Renee, a beautiful ending to both stories coming together...#1 fan ❤❤❤

Awesome

This is an awesome story. It didn’t leave out previous characters like a lot do. It just made them a great addition like the new ones. This story had a balance of romance and angst. I loved it. Narration was wonderful. You have to give this a listen!

If you can make it to the 2nd half, all is good!

Overall opinion: 3.5

The first 40% of the book is a highly repetitive, in her head experience and 4 year old temper tantrums. I would have estimated the h's mental age at 13 based on how she acted in the first half of the book. I am glad that I finished although the 13 year old resurfaced towards the very end of the book.

First 40% and 5 of the last 8% = 1.5 stars.
41% - 92% a d last 3% = 4.5 stars

Great story!!

I love the story line of this book! I think Hanna has too much of an inner monologue. Also the narrators did a great job. Joe Arden though, it seemed like he was either out of breath a lot or just had a very breathy voice, and also like he was trying to rush through the story rather than putting more emotion and character into the words. Just my opinion, either way they both did a nice job and I would definitely recommend this story.

Great second chance romance

6 yrs ago, Hannah left Sweetwater, TX heartbroken and betrayed. Now she’s back, running from a scandal in LA and starting over. Imagine her surprise when she literally runs into the reason that she left home...veterinarian, and so-called ‘horse wrangler’, oh, and her ex-fiancé, Roarke! Can Hannah forgive Roarke for cheating on her...and never coming after her? Can Roarke prove that he had been set up and that he’s never stopped loving Hannah?
One thing’s for sure, life is never boring in a small town.

It’s okay. Manufactured drama

This is one of those plots where all they need is to sit down and talk it out. I like the characters, but it’s slow.

Overall A Nice Story

I liked the story, the writer developed the plots very nicely. The narration was good, except for Virginia Rose winny voice which made it worse, as she sounds old. Joe Arden was okay
