John Forental thought that selling his company and going into early retirement would shake things up a bit in his life, but he had no idea what was coming. After his wife left him ten years prior, selling the company that drove them apart seemed like a mixed blessing. What would be his next chapter? He also hadn't expected to draw the immediate ire of the PTA's lead 'mean girl' Evangeline Leander.

Trying to succeed in the world of the Rochester Heights Montessori PTA, John quickly learns that what works to build teams in business doesn't always translate. Sometimes, the members of the team, including the cold and pretentious Evangeline, need a firm hand and crave...a little discipline, that only he can provide.
