Trying to take a few brief moments away from a stressful situation, Reagan Murphy snags the last table at a bustling downtown lunch spot. When another woman walks into the crowded restaurant seeking a table, Reagan offers to share hers.

Jillian Jacobs just wanted a quick bite before she'd have to focus on a new and unreasonable deadline. Irritated by her empty stomach and by the prospect of waiting, Jillian resentfully accepts a seat at a stranger's table.

Their shared lunch is filled with hostility, snide comments, and shades of derision from Jill, and Reagan finds herself relieved at the end of the encounter.

But then the two are thrown back together when Jill becomes a catering client of Reagan's. Soon navigating a professional relationship becomes complicated as their attraction begins to smolder. Will it get in the way and cause even bigger problems? Or will this be the start of something they've both been looking for all along?

Great

I really liked the narrator, she is my new favorite! And this is a first from this author and I really loved the book. It hit home and was cheering for the MC, both beautiful women! Jill’s mom is similar to mine and I lived Reagan’s mom and friends! This is such a great book and would like to here more from this narrator and read more from this author!

Drama

Overall great book!! Didn't need the extra drama from Jill. Sometimes lesbian novels can be too damn emotional. Adding the end with Jill not showing up extra hurdle that was too much.

Melting an ice queen

It’s not your typical sunshine melts the ice queen… more like a stormy rain cloud drips on the ice til it melts together. One MC is rolling in pre and post- grief while the other was emotionally abused by craptastic parents. So, they find a wee bit of happiness together and strive for an HEA. Good listen and awesome narrator so a solid listen overall.

Table for two

Love the romance of the story loved the two MC great story. I’m a sucker for an ice queen that melts.

Enemies to lovers

At first I was unsure about this book. But I am really glad that I listened to it. Such a good story about two people finding each other and themselves.
