This is a quick, insta-love listen. Two characters meet on an online chat room for family members dealing with another family member who has or they loss to cancer. Something about what Annika wrote draws Brody in and soon they are constantly exchanging emails til fate steps in.
It was a bit to cram everything that was happening in this small amount of time. Also and this is my preference I'm not a fan of the voice the narrator gave to Annika.

Short but endearing

Loved the book but not long enough. Tells and amazing and wonderful story. The narrators was amazing with this short story.

Fate has a funny way of intervening

First of all, my family are huge Star Wars fans so I loved the characters names. Fate has a very funny way of intervening and bringing people together. I enjoyed how they overcame their tragedies and got their happily ever after.

A Satisfying Audible Snack!

First off, this is a novella. It's supposed to be a little shorter than a usual novel. If you're expecting a regular-sized burger with fries and medium drink, you're just gonna get the fries here. But that's just fine, because reading this little treat was like sitting down in my favorite spot with a snack and having a wonderful little couple of hours to myself. At first I was unsure how the story was going to play out due to the subject matter. It was quite heavy, but it's what I've come to expect from Downy. She's a real nitty gritty "life is just hard sometimes" kind of writer. And moving through the story, we get the promise of something special on its way with the satisfying ending you were hoping for. Also, as much as I enjoyed the written version of this story, nothing can quite beat hearing it read aloud. The actors were fantastic and totally fit what I had imagined. When you enjoy both written and audible versions, you double your pleasure. Emphasis on the pleasure. Wow. Let's just say it got a little hot up in there. So don't let the beginning fool you. It's totally worth it in the end! Downy is real and believable, and I thoroughly enjoy feeling the characters' life situations. I enjoy feeling the hope she gives in that even when life can be so brutal (especially lately), there are beautiful gifts for the taking. I loved it!

A healing takes place

I enjoyed the short sweet heart felt story. It touched on loss, guilt, depression, loneliness and believing in love and finding that right person at the right time. This felt like a 4hr read. it was written just that good. Great Author, Great Narrating!💯🥂🍾💗
