Sebastian York was the only good part

Spoilers ahead! The story frustrated me and the characters were irritating. Aiden loved Bailey and she died and he's emotionally broken, I get that. But he's totally abandoned his children to the point that he's never even held his daughter. That is unacceptable and he should not be seen as this poor, tortured soul that Camila thinks she loves even though they've never spoken. He needs to man up and be there for his children. Camila also needs to see Aiden for who he is and get over the fact that he's hot. Jackson is a dick and needs to be put in his place. The things he said and did would get me a beating if I tried with my mom lol. I didn't care that the blurb was kind of misleading, I don't base too much on the blurb anyway. I just wanted characters I liked and a love story I rooted for. This was disappointing.

Stupid cliffhanger without another book to follow.

So you read this book, get to the end, which has one of those cliff hanging sentences that have you yelling “what?” You go to get the next book because after all, this one is listed as “book 1”. Well guess what. There isn’t one. You’re just left with an unfinished book.

More is less

I tried the book solely because Sebastian York was one of the narrators and I always enjoy listening to C. J. Bloom. However, not even rock star narration talent could bale this story out. I think if the author had stayed with an odyssey of the characters being dumped in the foster care system and then managing to survive and strive, that would have made for a worthy story. Or, if seducing the nanny was the point, why spend so much time on the relationship between Bailey and Aidan? As it was, there wasn't enough in either story line and it left me completely unwilling to look for the second book in the series.

Second book not included with subscription?

This is a good story, but it ends with a cliff hanger. The narrator's and the story line is good. A few times Camilla annoyed me when she stammered when confronted. Overall I really enjoyed part 1, but the second book isn't on audible (escape) and has to be purchased so I may never know how it ends. I think that is bad business. I'll think twice, and do a lot of research, before listening to another book by this author.

What part 2 is not on Audible.

Jeez! There is a cliff hanger and book 2 is not on audible, very disappointing. I am now buying book 2 from amazon just to see how this is going to end. Next time, please, if you are going to draw me in then at least have all of the series together.

CLIFFHANGER

Book 1 pulls you in and is available in audible. Book 2 is out but not available in audible. Very disappointing because I am not going to buy the paperback therefore the series will remain unfinished.

what a $hitty way to end a book!

it was hard to get in to with all the back and forth, missing the wife's perspective, then it just ends! no explanation, no epilogue, no book 2 to follow up with. Dont bother till the next book is out and pray it has an actual ending.

ONE Book or put both in Escape,

I hate when I am not paying attention and I get the first book and then have to pay to hear the end of the story in book 2. I understand we have to pay, but I hate this gimmick. I picked it because I love Sebastian York and then surprise, he is not even narrator on the second. Story is okay, but sure is tangled web going back snd forth from past to present. Good author, I just question whether it is worth the trouble.

Okay.

I heard a lot of good news about M. Robinson and so, I was going to try this one out considering it's under unlimited Kindle & Audio Escape. I read synopsis and knew it will be a cliff hanger before I dive in the story. I was a bit confused for awhile what the story was truly about, though. It was written quite well but I thought it was more about Aiden and Bailey's love story, but it's not. What you will read are bits and pieces of the "aftermath" of their relationship and soon enough, you get bits and pieces of how the love grew with one another a.k.a. flashbacks. What you will read about this book is more of the Nanny Camila's POV. You are only along the ride with Camlia's eyes v.s. Aiden's eyes or Bailey's eyes. You feel what Camila's feels about Aiden's irrational thinking of how he takes care of the kids, how the kids are affected by it and a 'very small" portion of the mystery of his wife, Bailey. I was okay with the story but I just wish was more of Aiden & Bailey v.s. the nanny. Now, Camlia and Aiden are attracted to each other in the most bizarre ways and you don't know that 'til the last few chapters which by then, it lend to the 2nd book. You only want to know what's really going on between them 2 and you still want to know what the hell happened to Bailey???? LOL, that is when you know...crap, I want to read the next book...good job, M.Robinson, good job!
