Supervillain Rehabilitation Project, Part 2

This set contains the second half (books 3-5) of this series. I found book three to be particularly intense, but that’s at least partially due to its dealing with one of my personal hang-ups. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed this series and I think this collection presents it well. The end of the series has decent closure with enough loose ends left to spark interest in the spin-off series.
I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Second verse, even a bit better than the first!

While I had read the first few books of the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project series, I hadn't read any of these books before I got the chance to listen to them. I have to say that I think I enjoyed them even more than the first set!
Burke's writing continues to impress with her smooth combination of emotion and excitement.
Rena Gail again does a fabulous reading of the stories and brings the characters so much vitality.
I definitely recommend you listen to these books!
I was given a free Audible code in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my very own!

After a slow first few books, this second set is Fire.

I enjoyed the last book in the first set, and the all got better after that. I had trouble connecting to the characters in the first two books but by the end of this anthology I was refreshed that an urban fantasy did not have a scooby doo ending. Life is messy, Burke ended this with a rich dark chocolate full notes of humanity and hope.

In an imagined world of Super Abled humans Burke reminds us that we all are still humans and it doesn’t take a sable to be a hero.

Delightful narrator full of energy and emotion though-out, I eagerly await further installments in the SVR universe.
