Publisher's Summary

Summary: 12 Rules for Life by Jordan B. Peterson: An Antidote to Chaos

(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

Called “one of the most important thinkers to emerge on the world stage for many years,” by The Spectator, Jordan B. Peterson's 12 Rules for Life is a truly thought-provoking read. How should we live in the modern world? Peterson aims to answer this question using his unique blend of ancient traditions, religion and scientific research from his many years as a clinical psychologist.

He does not shy away from the hard questions and controversial topics. White privilege, postmodernism, gender identity, and the source of the world's greatest evils are all discussed. It should not be forgotten amid his controversial opinions that Peterson has over 20 years’ experience as a psychologist and offers countless nuggets of wisdom on living a better life throughout.

Peterson journeys broadly, providing advice on confidence, dominance, communication, discipline, meaning and so much more. If you want to live a better life, read this book, study it - then live it.

Why should you always pet a cat when you meet one in the street?

What can we learn from lobsters about success in life?

What terrible fate awaits those who criticize all the time?

Listen to find out!

It takes the average person 49.5 minutes to read 9000 words.

For the price of a coffee and a time investment of roughly 2 percent of your day, I believe the wisdom in this book to be well worth it's value. This book allows you to skip to the nuggets of wisdom and actionable content in a very easily absorbed, listenable way, including key takeaways at the end of each chapter. Save yourself time and money.

Recommend this to anyone of any age.

I am a 17-year-old senior in high school, and I am taking my time with this audio book for sure. So far, the first two rules are absolutely amazing and I have implemented them fully. I love Jordan Peterson, and I can't wait to finish this audio book. I would seriously recommend this to anyone of any age.

Enjoyed the summary of good principles.

Sounds basic, but we keep forgetting these principles to improve our lifes and influence those around us.

Great audio book and very helpful!

Great audio book and very helpful for putting your life in the right direction if you need to. I like how Jordan incorporates biblical references. You don't have to believe in anything to understand you just need to understand perspective and have an open mind.

the summary is nice but didn't like the book

I don't have any problem with the summary but I find the book distasteful and not great. I'm glad I didn't buy the full book..

He is truly interesting and makes very perfect.

So people may not like Jordan Peterson, but he is truly interesting and makes very perfect logical sense of this like we live.

Buyer Beware!

This is possible the worst audio book I have ever purchased. The narrator says "Peterson" so much... Always referencing Jordan Peterson in 3rd person. Just give me a summary of the book without saying Peterson wrote, Peterson said, Peterson meant...

Fantastic summary!

I read the book by Peterson and wanted a summary of the key points to refresh my memory and help to focus my intention to make changes to my everyday life. I chose two summary audio books and this was by far the best, as I found the other spoke verbatim and wasn't as engaging as this book. I highly recommend this potted version of Peterson's rules which should be compulsory reading.
