Everyday people, extraordinary situations

My favorite part of this series is that the MCs are ordinary, not military, not prepers, not survivalists. Firemen, construction workers, teens, and protective moms... all with everything falling apart.

decent 2nd book for series

I liked this zombie story and would recommend it to others who like the genre. it left me in anticipation each step of the journey. very detailed and descriptive of everything from zombie descriptions to the location.

very obvious signs of plot armor in the main cast of characters. and the cast does many obvious stupid things when they have all knowledge of zombie apocalypse... very little to any badguys or other signs of survivors. the crew still thinks every living human is a good person and would work together against a common enemy.

though the story still left me frustrated with a number of things though many would not care for a few of them. still don't know if its supernatural or virus yet . the main thing that is still frustrating to me was almost every zombie description 'they had bites up and down their arms' by the 30th time hearing it repeated... also how could 2 14 year-olds kill over 70 zombies with a knife in an hour in the middle of the night?!

a good read/audio book but I probably won't listen to it more than once unlike other zombie books I've gone through.

Suburban Jungle picks up where Urban Gridlock left

Another installment by Jaime Hernandez along with Eric A. Shelman. Book 2 takes us along as Camilles parents begin the search. So many zombies! So many bad guys! So many things that can go wrong. You care about these characters. You want to fight right along side of them. Jamie and Eric make a great team and I hope they continue for a long time.

The story continues

This is a continuation of the previous book. The book takes place a few days after the outbreak. The family is still not together and struggling to reunite.

Solid Zombie Story

I like the story and the characters. The only criticism I have is that there is a lot of repetitive phrases, particularly concerning popping eyeballs and stinky, milky white eye goo from putting the zombies down. The other thing I shake my head about is the mispronunciation of the word, “detritus” by the narrator. However, I am enjoying the series enough I will continue listening to it.
