Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new steamy, STEMinist novella....

Nothing like a little rivalry between scientists to take love to the next level.

Mara, Sadie, and Hannah are friends first, scientists always. Though their fields of study might take them to different corners of the world, they can all agree on this universal truth: When it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn....

Logically, Sadie knows that civil engineers are supposed to build bridges. However, as a woman of STEM she also understands that variables can change, and when you are stuck for hours in a tiny New York elevator with the man who broke your heart, you earn the right to burn that brawny, blond bridge to the ground. Erik can apologize all he wants, but to quote her rebel leader - she’d just as soon kiss a Wookiee.

Not even the most sophisticated of Sadie’s superstitious rituals could have predicted such a disastrous reunion. But while she refuses to acknowledge the siren call of Erik’s steely forearms or the way his voice softens when he offers her his sweater, Sadie can’t help but wonder if there might be more layers to her cold-hearted nemesis than meet the eye. Maybe, possibly, even burned bridges can still be crossed....

request for 2 narrators

i loved the story, but i wish the 3rd novella would feature 2 narrators instead of a girl just lowering her voice.

All the Feels

I loved this story. Throughout listening to it, I had all the feels. It's a quick read and a sweet story. It's also nice to get minor glimpses into the lives of her friends from the other books in this series.

I love these STEM Romances

I have recently become an Ali Hazelwood fan. Her STEM trilogy has been fun, but this specific book fell a little short for me. The book is written in alternating past and present, and is done extremely well. I love the academia and STEM that is included in Hazelwood’s books. I didn’t fall in love with these two characters as much as I have with her other books, but it won’t detour me from reading her further.

Short and sweet

Yes the story and the heroine were both short but there are times that is exactly what I want.

I really enjoy Ali Hazelwood’s STEMinist series!

A fantastic escape for a couple of hours! I really enjoy Ali Hazelwood's writing and these STEMinist novellas have been fantastic! I love love love these first two so far, and can't wait for #3!

This one, Stuck With You, is about a great couple that had a quick romance but after a great date and discussion about their work (similar field) and revealing some details too many, Sadie discovers that her company has lost a great potential client to Erik's company, who managed to woo them away with all of her ideas, which she had told him about... on their date. A couple of weeks later, when they end up trapped together in an elevator and she is finally able to confront him about his betrayal, they can finally discuss what really and truly happened and discover that what they both thought occurred that night, and beyond, wasn't the situation on either end, and perhaps they can get past it.

So well crafted and written - her writing is brilliant and I can't wait for more, for the next novella and her next novel!

I listened to the first book in the series and enjoyed it. I really enjoyed this one, a better narrator and fun story.

obnoxious heroine

the story was cute and the sex was steamy but it was a little too Insta love and the heroine was too much of a blubbering idiot to be an engineer. i like the series and found it entertaining but not my favorite.
