pretty good

really liking this series im a little biased because i love the cyperpunk genre but im really looking forward to book 4

Loving this series!

My first LitRPG series and I’m loving it. The audiobook version is fantastic with narration by Hollie Jackson.

Characters are interesting and fun. Lots of humor in a messed up world that can make you feel a little bit better about our current world.

I re-listened to book 1 when I got book 2 and then re-listened to both 1 & 2 when book 3 came out. They’re that good!

This realy brought the book to life

I have been folowing stray cat strut for a long time on paper. These oaudibooks have truly brought it to life.

Great world building I love the funny with the little bit of sexy and I love the upgrades.

Great world building adventure with some politics

The story manage to be more fun and probably the most interesting mission so far that built up the world more in such a seamless way that get the listener invested. No alien killing this time and no sex scene (sorry horny lesbian lover, may I recommend Demon Princess Magical Chaos) but lots of underground gang fighting and more politics. The sewer part of the story was just great not just because the lovable new characters introduce but the world they create. The organization that Stray Cat and Gamora fight are in many way evil, yet essential to the world and not entirely full of evil people. Its a good dynamic that show mutual relationships and how corruption can be easily overlook. That being said the politic part of the story was less interesting. That being said cannot wait for the fourth volume.

Still loving this series

The series keeps getting more interesting. I love the characters, world and snark. Give thise one a chance.

Upgrading to five stars over the first two.

I'll start by saying I'm not upgrading it because the story got better.

The story did improve, but primarily by way of less non-plot and attempts at juvenile sexual comedy. Much appreciated, the author is at their best when they're moving the plot along.

This book broke pacing a little, and felt like a side story. It definitely didn't have the frenetic tempo of the previous two books, and felt like a b-story. Hopefully it contributes to the story eventually in an unforeseen way. It mostly felt like a set-up to establish some recurring characters.

The one negative thing I will say at this point is the author is leaving a lot of plot guns lying around that need to be paid off. This book might better have been served by eliminating the second half and instead finally finishing the museum, showing more of the familial interactions, etc. Setups are better done by capitalizing on details mentioned in passing, with less explicit development that will give the reader that eventual "oh wow, apparently that was important" moment which capitalizes on the reader's effort tying together loose bits and encouraging them to read deeper for more of that dopamine flavor.

The latter half of the book felt rather pointless and didn't really provide any satisfying closure for the buildup; it just sort of peter'd out. It feels like there's more that could have been done with the plot but instead the author hit the wrap it up button, put a bow on it and shipped the next mission by way of more cliffhangers.

Looking forward to the next book, and am hoping the author decides to close some of the dangling storylines before moving on. The unresolved plot point graph in my head is killing me.

Seriously just get it

Every chapter is an awesome experience. Love the characters and snark. Can’t wait for the next book.

Its About The Journey

Its by now that I realize that though i really enjoy the Stray Cat Strut series. Its overarching plot is… wanting. So if thats what you’re still here for. You will be disappointed.
Fortunately, what it lacks in an overarching story, it makes up for with an extreme amount of charm. If you enjoy the morbid hilarity of a corporate dystopia cyberpunk future, the Stray Cat Strut books are still amazing at showing that off. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are hilarious and sometimes terrifyingly accurate. Ravensdagger does a great job of making their world believable despite how ridiculous it is.

if you're the kind of person that gets annoyed when hearing the same word used over and over and over and over and over, then be warned. I don't think this author knows the word "people" because the word "folks" is used and repeated so frequently it started sounding like nails on a chalkboard. seriously it's through the entire novel. it was bad in the first two books too, but this one takes it to a whole new level. like 5+ times in 5 minutes of listening multiple times.
