A surprisingly engaging 29 minutes that does exactly what the title promises. Sam Danis walks through how spatial audio is produced in plain language, with vivid examples that make the technical side of Dolby Atmos genuinely click. Narration is clean and well-paced, and the snippets used to demonstrate the format are well chosen. Worth listening with good headphones to get the most out of it. Short, smart, and the kind of bonus content that justifies an Audible membership on its own.

This is awesome technology! Like many other visually impaired people, I've learned to listen better and pay much more attention to my surroundings. Dolby Atmos helps tremendously to build those soundscapes which helps our brains picture different environments that can't be seen with just our eyes. Big, big BRAVOS to Audible for embracing this audio technology!

OUTSTANDING! AMAZING! SOUNDS GREAT!

An interesting and informative short about spatial audio. I had just listened to Audible's original - George Orwell's 1984 - produced in Dolby Atmos, and this short piece had been on my radar to listen to as well. Since I really enjoyed 1984 and the effects (my first four listening to something produced in Dolby Atmos), I decided to hear a little bit more about spatial audio in general.

Informative
