Still my favorite author...

He is still my favorite author but this book isn't my favorite in the series.

how it expanded the River's universe and characters

Aaronovitch putting Abagail on an equal footing with Peter as the lead Character. The setting was so different than that of London

Great addition to the series!

Story and writing did justice to the much loved characters. Artful narration put this over the top.

Skipping the girl parts, wastes some of the book

Unlike the main storyline with Peter, there are chapters about a side character that I and many others don’t care about. It doesn’t matter it you just skip them. She isn’t important and annoying.

Back to Rivers’ greatness

I never wanted this book to end. All the characters were in fine form, the story was compelling and it felt like some of the very best stories in the series.
