sweet and clever
I enjoyed the sprinkled nods to PG Wodehouse and the colorful Harlem and queer culture descriptions. I loved Gussie though I kept thinking of him as either Bertie in his NYC era, or Spink-Nottle. I'm not a big fan of the amazing Kobna's American accents though, and novellas are always a little frustrating as a format.

Another good addition to this series
Koba Holdbrook-Smith was wonderful as usual and his American accent was fine. The new characters were fun and I would love to hear more about them including the talented valet who could prove to be a practitioner himself? I always enjoy stories about Nightingale and his past. Gussie was great fun to listen to and always amusing. Can't wait for more.

Another excellent addition to the series
Each one makes me want to go back and re listen to those before. Though Nightingale was not the main protagonist, Gussie and Lucie are great fun to spend an evening with.

I love Rivers of London, but I was a bit disappointed in this one.
I was looking forward to this book, but it was just not I had hoped for. I applaud Ben for his attempt at discussing racism and sexuality issues in the 20’s in America, but the story itself just fell a little flat for me. I’m sorry.

Amazing
A really fun listen (or read). Politics and prejudices are the same today as they were in the 1920’s. Ben Aaronovitch and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith are a great duo.

Yay A new book
I really enjoyed this book. The characters and the story - great the narrator - perfect as always. I really liked being able to have a little bit more about Nightingale in the story. My only complaint is that it was too short, but it’s not one of the regular book novels so I understand. Can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
