The harder these outside forces push against him, the more Jesse retreats into himself. Despite all the odds, he's convinced it is up to him alone to stop the killings.

Loved this ! Parker, Stone, Forster at their best.

My favorite Jesse Stone narrator,combined with the best of Parker, great series, great narrator and a good storyline that kept me listening all the way through....We'll miss you Parker, Spenser, Sunny and Stone...

Good story, but...

...the relationship between Jesse and his ex-wife is becoming exhausting. Jesse is supposedly an intelligent man yet let's this woman control his life. I'm hoping he dumps her in the next book, please!

Great but one concern

why didn't Stone give his officers a picture of the likely suspects? Seems "uncoply" of him.

Stone Cold is Great!

I really like the Jesse Stone novels and the series that featured Tom Selleck. This book is one of the best in the series. I enjoyed listening to this audio book. It is a nice mix of relationships, character development, intrigue, suspense, and solving cases.

Robert Forster is Jesse Stone

I was very glad I had seen a couple of the TV shows staring "Jesse Stone". It gave immediate faces etc. to many of the characters. The star of the TV show has a voice and inflections extremely close to Robert Forster.

A good story and fun listen.

I love how you are brought into all the story's. have listened to all of the Jesse Stone books. and the video as well.

better than the tv version

This book was done as a made for tv movie and has run several times. I love the movie, but the book is much better!

screenplay was better than the book

although the book is good, I mean after all it was written by Mr. Parker. but this is another book by of his in the Jesse Stone series where the movie is actually better than the book. the screenplay that is. I'm sure if I had read the book first it would have been better, but having seen the movie it kind of spoiled the book. it's usually the other way around. performance was so so , better than the first audio book's. narrator of the Jesse Stone series. definitely worth listening to, but as I said before I still prefer the movie

Stone Cold

Stone Cold was a great book and a very good movie as well. I enjoyed the audible book as much as I did to Tom Selleck movie.

Oh yeah...they're just good stories.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Well, I knew the plot before I read the book, and it didn't disappoint. It follows pretty closely with the movie, which I saw first.

What about Robert Forster’s performance did you like?

He brings Jesse Stone to life as I picture him; Tom Selleck's portrayal probably makes me a bit biased, but Forster's performance is what I wanted to hear.
