Jesse Stone lives on!

Love the characters and Jesse’s integrity. The town of Paradise always comes to life, again.

Solid first attempt

I think this was a decent first book by yet another author taking over the Jesse stone novels. Would like to see a bit more character development from Jesse but overall it was a solid story. Little too focused on things/ppl who don’t seem to be at the core of these stories but I liked it and as always the narration was fantastic. Worth a credit

Dead Men Do Tell Tales

After a wellness check turns up a dead man in his hoarder filled house and $4M is discovered in the rubbish, Jesse has his hands full with a hot headed new hire who insults a local town leader.

James Naughton's narration is spot on.

Best in years

Farnsworth is so much better than Lupica. I grew up reading Bob Parker and Spenser so this was a huge treat. Thank you. Now if someone can get Ace Atkins to start writing for Spenser again I know all Parker fans will appreciate it.

A good story well told.

I miss the humor that, Robert B. Parker infused into his writing. There were witticisms in, Parker’s work that were absent in this work. That ingredient gave RBP’s work a distinctive flavor. I look forward to it. Otherwise, the author captured the essence of the characters and was faithful to them.

Trust your gut

I am a loyal follower of the Jesse Stone series; my deepest enjoyment is when Jesse follows his gut (in spite of all the background noise) in this offering his connection with other characters is either confused or non-existent. When his charisma with characters is disconnected it dilutes the richness of the story telling.

The character development

I am very happy to see this series continue. Robert B Parker created great characters. To have another wonderful writer continue those characters is amazing. I can’t get enough and can’t wait for the next. I have read or listed to every Jesse stone book and hope it never ends. Keep up the great work.

Al.ost a Parker Story.

interesting story, we'll read. Jessy Stone's character stayed pretty true, and the other officers on the Paradise PD stayed true to Parker's concept. All in all I enjoyed listening.

Character Developmentment

Parker is a master, not only of great gripping, heartstopping storytelling, but of character development over time. Unlike the Reacher series (which I also love) the Stone series presents a truly human hero. While Reacher is more like a kind of implausible Superman, Stone is very human. Parker has always explored the psyche of his protagonist. But here, in his newest iteration, Parker presents the true heroic quality of Jesse Stone: his ability to grow, admit his faults and to become more self aware, and thus more capable of lasting authetic connection to others
