Fantastic

It's very difficult for an author to really pull off a short story but Catherine Steadman did it. unnerving unreliable heroine. chilling and memorable. The audiobook narrator did a fantastic job. It was very good story. trigger warning ⚠️ due to themes of violence against women

Left me hanging

This was an awesome story, however at the end, I wanted to know the rest of the story.

I loved this story about co from and abuse. The ending was quite the twist! Short story but so with the time!

Well that was effing terrifying. For a short story that got very dark very fast!

Pretty good

A good job building the suspense, although the climax was predictable, as it is with most short stories. Nevertheless, the story was entertaining and worth the time. An unconvincing twist at the end gave it a thin layer of frosting.

Wish it was a full length story...

This was really good and kept me on the edge of my seat as I listened to the very good narration. It definitely left me wanting more. I could see this as a full novel. I wanted a reason of how she got to the point in her life. I would have loved more of a back story and more of an ending. It was a great slow build, but then it stopped. I can imagine what I would like to happen, but could have used a little more. However, I do recommend it.

Enjoyed the performance. The story was good, but lacked an ending which left me hanging other wise it was interesting.

Good story!

I wanted it to go on and to know more. It’s definitely a 4.5 in my opinion but wish it was a lengthier book. Talented author and good narration.

Wow. Absolutely incredible!!!

I didn't pay attention when I purchased this so when I saw it was a short story I was disappointed....until it began. CS has outdone herself with this one. I wish this was longer but was impressed at how an entire story could build in such a short time & be SO GOOD!!
You must listen to this if you are a CS fan!!

Thriller!

This story is fast paced and thrilling. It’s suspenseful the entire time. The narrator does a fine job. I recommend it.
