Couldn't finish

This story was awful, characters that act like cave men, manhandle people, blame the other person because of their attraction, are mean nd basically not likeable are not my type of characters. in fact I hate them and the more I listened the more I hated Kane. Hello, these are abusive behaviors not ones we should want to be with. And Luka got on my nerves because he's attracted to abuse. I could go on about how ridiculous the plot is as well and how unprofessional Kane is as a ATF/police detective he is but I've had enough of this story. Returning right away. I've listened to a lot of books with this narrator but his voice is so annoying and being a terrible book he annoyed me more.

Narrator Michael Dean used his full arsenal of talent in delivering an action-packed tale about Kane, a special in the ATF, who is approached by the FBI to assist them to put a criminal from his past, as well as his son behind bars, by going under cover. He meets Luca, who works at a jewelry store that got robbed, by the crime family. As Kane started to investigate the robbery, he is totally shocked by the attraction to Luca, as he is 100% not gay. The reaction was extremely funny and very well done. He fought the attaration and tried everything in his power to ignore it. But, the more he tries to ignore his attraction, the more Luca pops up and ruin his attempts.

The plot was well developed and at times heart-pounding tensed moments created a memorable high angst tale with bursts of funny moments.

I do recommend this audiobook as the author created a well, developed world connecting to the rest of her books. If you enjoy them, you will certainly enjoy this.

Fun, Sexy Tour of a "Straight Man's" Mind!

A low angst, very romantic story of two men finding what the truly neeed, inspite of themselves! Very well crafted between the engaging story formula, and the burgeoning romance coming to life. Sweet & caring evolution, which was quite believable at the pace Ms. Logan set. Michael Dean's voice made the journey very interesting & sexually charged in all the right places!!

On to Book 2.....

Solid cop drama, awful bisexual awakening

A straight detective antagonizes a witness to a crime. Throughout the story we see he physically manipulates the guy into kisses and hand jobs where in one breath he is dominating and forcing a connection, and in the next breath he is denying he is gay. This happens over and over and over. In real life, what veteran law officer would stop an elevator in the precinct to force a guy into a corner and aggressively kiss him with no consent? Ridiculous. What guy would allow a ‘straight’ guy to repeatedly do these things to him? There is a pretty solid, decent plot going on in the background with the mafia. However the utter nonsense of the wishy-washy straight cop blooming into bisexual awakening and the other main character just putting up with the treatment through two-thirds of the book was enough to make me stop reading after chapter 16. I tried to like this book. Unfortunately even with Michael Dean’s excellent narration, the story was still a no go for me.

Not for me

I was really hoping for more with this book after all of the great reviews. I must say, however, it did not keep my attention at all. I loved the narration but this book was not for me.

First time gay is always a favorite of mine. The chemistry was hot and the story was great. It was a bit hot and cold in the beginning but it was amazing ❤️
Of course Micheal Dean was perfect 👌

Bad guys and romance

Exciting New series. Great first book. First time mm romance and some hot 🔥 sex scenes. Michael Dean did an awesome job bringing the characters to life, hopefully they will follow over into the next book. Nice writing Patricia Logan, Bring on the next audio book in the series. Worth the credit and your time to listen.

Not for me

The story dragged on too long and could have done with a good edit. I suffered for far too long to finish it.
