Sexy and suspenseful

This is book two in the WITSEC series but it stands alone just fine even though it does follow the same two main characters (I think). I did not read this first one (how did I miss this?) yet enjoyed this a lot and followed along just fine.
Luca works in a jewelry store and is about then years younger than Kane who is a straight police officer undercover. In the first book Kane and Luca got together yet Kane was strongly saying he is not gay so they separate and Lucas is broken-hearted in this book. One of his friends gets killed bringing Kane back into his life and can Kane overlook his feelings for Luca?

I really loved both characters, though Luca was my favorite. His friend Kory and coworker Sebastian are lots of fun too. The story has a good ongoing plot of connected cases from the last book and that will carry over to the next it seems then it has another intriguing plot of the murdered male prostitutes. And of course Kane and Luca's budding relationship.

I love Patricia Logan's books especially the suspense and looks lie this series will not disappoint. (Now I need to go get the first book)
I did listen to this on audio and Michael Dean's Narration had its ups and downs for me. I like distinctive voices for each character and in this Kory and Luca sounded a lot alike, as a matter of fact, many had the same very stereotypical gay sounding voice and you could hear when he paused for breath on occasion. NOW having said that... he makes up for it on excitement and the sex scenes are major hot with the moans and drawn-out names and you can feel Kane's panic in the times of his worry over Luca. So that is a major plus. The narrations are far from boring and I highly suggest if you can afford it to get the audios of this series.
If you like undercover detectives, Jewerlystore managers, Age gap, gay for you, second chances, mystery/suspense, and a hot romance this is for you.

Love it!!

Again I am absolutely loving this series so much. Kane and Lucas's just gets better and better! When I first read this book I just loved it but listening to it makes me love it even more. Michael Dean does an absolutely amazing job with the narration. I can't help but be pulled into the story even more with his voice. He just makes me love this story even more.

Great series!

These two lives has been wrought in chaos but they are trying to find each other one way or another. Stuff keeps happening to them. Police life is hard.

This great duo continues!
Interesting storyline, familiar characters are regrouped; I truly appreciate the skillful blending of folks we've met in other books... beautifully crafted together.

Author & narrator are such a great match, and I eagerly begin WITSEC Book #3, "Gay with Me," go figure!!

Kane & Luca

An angsty read but I loved it. Although I must say I wasn't crazy about Kane at the beginning but I feel like he redeemed himself. Kane and Luca are incredibly hot together and I could really feel their connection. Luca's patience and capacity of forgiveness are incredible. There are lots of twists and turns in this one but they work to bring Kane and Luca even closer together. The narrator truly enhanced the overall enjoyment of this book. He is incredible with all of the characters and with the story itself. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Very good eccept a little stronger lead

very good book but would have liked Luka complete a little stronger and a little more independent. But all in all a Very good read.

This book was hot and in so good I almost miss work because I did not want to stop listening to the book.

talk about writing a character with ABSOLUTELY no back bone Luca was such a weak sniveling effeminate character I actually got a refund because this book was like listening to a straight romance.
