My whole life, I have been starved.
Starved of love and starved of affection. My caretaker, Francis, refuses to touch me, and he makes me feel as worthless as dirt.
The only love and affection I've ever found are inside the pages of the books he gives me. At least those books make me feel less alone—less starved. They give me hope that I'll find love of my very own one day.
When I finally escape Francis's gilded cage, I stumble upon the Snow Pack. And their Beta may very well just be what I've been looking for my whole life. It's just a shame that he is already taken. Rian, Troy, Jeremy, and Leo won't ever want me. Because they already have each other.
So, what need do they have for an Omega like me?
Starved is a contemporary Omegaverse about a touch-starved Omega that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. There is no choosing and scenes of MM/MMFM. For mature listeners.

This world is interesting. The Beta Trials is not the traditional Omegaverse world where most stories take place in a similar universe like our own with the integration of the alpha/beta/omega concepts. The Beta Trials takes it a step further by expanding on what the world would be like if A/B/O was always a thing and really encapsulates oppression and what it would be like to be an Omega or an Alpha. It doesn’t make it where the Betas just sit by and accept the A/O relationship but shows the human side of these designations and shows the jealousy, greed, power, and all the ugly emotions in play. Shows disgust in the “animalistic” behaviors. It truly breaks that fairytale feeling and plunges the listener into this complicated and power struggle world.
My heart breaks for the Omegas in this universe. But I’m hopeful the author will create future books where the power will change and omegas having a voice and alphas being regulated. Betas as well need to be put in their place.
If dark undercurrents are not your thing, then this series might not be for you. But it really is worth the listen. A/O live in their own city while Betas have the rest of the “world” (that we know of, could just be this country).

Alphas force omegas to stay even if it means holding them against their will at a compound and “breaking” them so that they “want” to stay. Omegas are then handed out to packs whether they like the pack or not. Omegas do not have a true say in anything.
Betas are no better. Kidnapping omega children to groom for clients and forcing their laws on Alpha and Omega community by trying to integrate into pack life. Forcing the inclusion of betas vs naturally forming packs with compatible betas.
This is a great piece of work where government over reaches on certain policy’s but lack regulation and laws in others. Essentially everyone is being hurt in this power dynamic and the only ones benefiting are the ones at the top.
