Great Content, Bad Narration

Definitely worth buying a hardcopy. The narrator sounded like he had a cold and the editor didn't make the effort to cut out the distracting mouth sounds. But the information was valuable for someone just starting!

Great Content, Bad messenger

The book answered and informed me way beyond what I was thinking. I will buy the physical copy to accompany my listening. It did leave me with more questions that are very specific to my situation but I have not listened to the 2nd book Run Your Music Business yet to see if the answer is there.

Side note: The performance was hot trash. Nader Nadernejad is a lazy ass dude who did not trim up audio or even take out mistakes. At one point he mispronounced then reread before getting the sentence right. Also the audio quality fluctuated between terrible and alright.

Simple and very informative book on music biz

Simple and very informative audio book on how to start a music business. I like the fact that it is less than 3 hours. I could finish listening to it one day!

Pretty helpful

I am a stand alone musician and want to know how to be my own boss legally. It provided a ton of info on partnerships and creating corporations too, which wasn’t as particular for me, but that’s because Audrey spells out all of your possible options. I’m excited about the next book! I feel like what I have to do was probably laid out exactly, but I’ll have to listen through again just to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing

Audio was garbage - zero insight

This book felt like some guy reading a wikipedia page in a large hallway, about 3 miles away from the microphone.

It was good

Good basic knowledge, but I could not get over the nasally reader. Very distracting. It almost sounds like he recorded It on his iPhone at home while making cereal. I would advise to hire a professional next time.

Narration

For Audible the narration is too fast and does not give a professional delivery! It appears it was just being read as fast as possible to get through the task! May suit others but not myself! Sorry!

More dry than the guy who was in the Clear Eye Commercial

Horrible book but possibly a good lawyer.

The language and narration of the book are outdated and ineffective ways to teach. The information is useful without a doubt but at the expense of your joy.
Everything is “you need”, “you must”, “or else” and it reminded me of that negative smart person who nags you about everything that could go wrong in life if you tried to live for even one second.

Someone else who knows how to connect with people should’ve written the book and maybe the narration would make you feel so depressed. I went from excitement, discouragement, to depression and hopelessness before finishing the book. My advice to to read the physical boom as a reference book specifically for your needs or to see if this info is broken up to actionable points on a blog.

How could something that seemed so promising just drain all the life out of you? You will know if you order this book.

Amateur hour. Horrible.

The guy reads too fast. Horrible backroad sounds while he talks. Very mundane, drab. Like he’s trying to speed read and it’s bad. Scotland hired someone else to read. I’ll never buy anything else that he reads. He flies through stuff and you just can’t understand.
