Scattering like rats before the Yuuzhan Vong’s invasion of Coruscant, the panic-stricken members of the New Republic Advisory’s Council pause just long enough to set up a mock defense on nearby Borleias—a transparent attempt to buy time that fools no one, least of all the Jedi.
Leia and Han Solo trek from world to world to foment rebellion against the New Republic’s disastrous appeasement policies. But Luke Skywalker has chosen the most dangerous assignment of all: to sneak into the Yuuzhan Vong’s stronghold on Coruscant. His outrageous scheme to gain entry is either brilliant or suicidal, depending on the outcome. And bearing down swiftly on Borleias is a Vong invasion fleet, determined to destroy the galaxy’s remaining defenders. . . .© and (P)2002 Lucasfilm Ltd. and TM.

That said, this particular book was a great change of writing from the preceding 1-2 books.
It brought back the style that made me fall in love with Vector Prime and the other first few books in this series.
Again, This book was great. Honestly I really wasn’t liking the few books since the 3 solo kids went to get captured intentionally. It was completely idiotic and just so unbelievably stupid that it was a grueling ~9hrs or so to listen to. They could have wrote a better story to end the solo boys. Id complete those books and audibly exasperate: “thank god I’m done with that one. I need a break from this sh**”
The change in writing and brought back a believable journey. It was refreshing and energizes me for the rest of the series :)
Amazing change of tone from the last few

It’s not as good as having the audio effects and the movie soundtrack, but abridging these books requires removing massive amounts of essential content. There isn’t any “fluff” or gratuitous content to begin with, so what is removed completely alters the story.
