His goal was a new start

I was given this audible book for a fair and honest review, thank you Rodney Falcon. I’m sure this wasn’t necessarily your fault but in parts I was a little confused on who was speaking. Otherwise I enjoyed your narration.
The story in a nutshell, Nick is released from prison, is invited to stay with his friend Curtis and girlfriend Kim, Kim has no idea Nick was in prison. Curtis and Nick want to keep it that way. Nick falls for Alexa, Kim’s best friend. All is well till Nick moves into his own place and Alexa finds some damaging information, accuses Nick of lying and withholding info. Nick being persuasive, eventually convinces Kim to give him another chance. In the end we have a HEA of sorts?
This story to me was not dark, however in some cases I felt Nick was on the verge of being a stalker, no means no regardless of the circumstances and he continually disregarded Alexa’s request to stay away. Alexa on the other hand was being illogical in not hearing Nick out, she in hear anger thought she knew all, but knew nothing.

This one enjoyable quick listen about Nick and Alexa, There story is a roller coaster of a ride thats filled with emotions, secrets plus they go through ups and downs. There chemistry was off the charts. I couldn't stop listen till the end. Rodney just brings this whole story to life and pulls you long for the ride with Nick and Alexa.

Will she ever forgive him for lying to her?

Nick made a life changing mistake one night in a bar that cost his five years of his life. Now he's back in the real world with every intention to move on and start fresh. Alexa is Nick's dream girl. He fell in love with her the moment they met. He truly believed that he was making the best of his second chance at life until his dirty little secret caused his new life to come crashing down. Now Nick has to find a way to make his unforgivable lies something the two of them can get past. Will Nick be able to make Alexa see that his five years in Prison didn't make him a monster or will she only see him as the man who lied to her and made her feel like a fool. Derek Masters makes you see that there's two sides to every story and that not everything is black and white.

A successful collaboration between Derek Masters and Rodney Falcon. Rodney gives each one of Derek's wonderful characters their own voice which brings the story to whole other level.

A nice guy from a rough background.

I felt lots of compassion for Nick. He is such a nice guy who had such a rough upbringing. He fell so hard for cautious Alexa. With keeping his incarceration a secret from her, he jeopardised their whole future. This is his struggle into his HEA. Entertaining and performed very well.

I absolutely loved having the collaboration of my favorite author and favorite narrator with this audiobook!! Rodney definitely brought Derek's characters and words to life like no other.

Secret pasts always have a way of sneaking up on you, and that's just what Nick finds out in this fast paced love story. Does the love of his life, Alexa, come around and forgive him for the lies and half truths she's been given? Take a read or listen to find out, you won't be disappointed!
