The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. Good Book
Abby got on my last nerves in both books but I had to keep listening. The virtual reader was horrible. The words were not pronounced correctly and I hope they never use it again.

The virtual voice narration is awful
I really enjoyed the first book and audiobook. So I downloaded this one as soon as I saw it was available and didn’t notice that it was narrated by virtual voice. It was a terrible listening experience although the story is great. I primarily consume books through audiobooks, and this was a big disappointment. There is no voice differentiation between characters, no emotion from the narration, and the mispronunciations drove me crazy. This was almost unlistenable.
