Publisher's Summary

Christians should have the answers, shouldn't they?

Depression affects many people - both personally and through the ones we love. Depression is not new, though. Indeed, the "Prince of Preachers" C.H. Spurgeon struggled with depression and talked openly about it. Here, Zack Eswine draws from Spurgeon's experiences to encourage us. What Spurgeon found in his darkness can serve as a light in our own darkness.

This is not a self-help guide but rather "a handwritten note" of one who wishes you well.

Well done encouragement

It is great for people struggling with depression and would like faith based council.

Immense Help to Me

As a fellow sufferer, I never came across a Christian book on depression better than this before.

Helpful & Inspiring

Zach Eswine has written a beautiful story on the ministries of Charles Spurgeon. Chapter 11 was an emotional roller coaster for me, so I had to put the book aside for a bit.
All in all it was uplifting and a worthy read!
