At this time, the beginning of the 21st century, times seem desperate and many call for revolution, even if nobody has a clear idea of the outcome? Osho introduces us to a remarkable expression of the Buddha and elaborates on Buddha’s radical approach to human freedom; an anarchic approach! The focus moves from a cry for outer revolution to an embrace of revolution, from outer domination by society to inner silence and peace. And surprisingly, no-discipline is Buddha’s discipline. And when a person is absolutely without any discipline then there is beauty – because then there is freedom. Let Osho take you on a fascinating journey into a part of Buddha’s realm rarely, if ever, seen.

Buddhist philosophy is explored in this Osho talk. Concepts of the body, God, and consciousness are brought up for your listening pleasure. Speaking of the acoustics it was difficult to hear Osho at the beginning of the speech, as the speech went on it became easier because in Osho fashion he starts speaking louder as the Osho talk goes on. Techniques that identify with the body or the mind are explored and Osho makes it clear that Buddhist thought is on nothingness, the stillness within that is beyond thought and beyond body. He mentioned that Christianity, Islam and Hinduism struggle with this concept of no God, no religion, even no philosophy. The very tools used for self realization are to be abandoned once the goal is reached, just like a boat used to cross a river. So meditation techniques and mantras and prayer beads: all these are to be abandoned once self realization is reached they were merely a vehicle to take you where you want to go. This speech contains far more than the handful of things I have mentioned here but it is a crash course on Buddhist philosophy and Osho did a good job with presenting the material.

Buddhist thought is defined and compared to other major religions in Osho style.
