Almost a 4 ⭐️ pacing and cliffhanger

I enjoyed this book overall, and I think the narrators did a fantastic job. That said, parts of it felt a little flat. The FMC does grow, but most of the story seemed to happen to her rather than showing her grit and determination. I wanted more moments where she truly fought for something. A lot of the storytelling leaned toward “telling” instead of really pulling me into the struggle.

The sibling dynamics were sweet, but they did not feel very realistic. All these bad things are happening and they are barely present, and when they are, there is not much depth. One sibling practically disappears without adding much to the story, and other friendships or relationships are introduced but never really explored. Maybe I am biased, but sibling bonds usually have more tension and squabbles mixed in with the love. It would have felt more genuine that way. I would also love to see more page time for the side characters and friendships.

My biggest frustration was the pacing. We do not really get to the heart of the story until the last two chapters, and then it ends on a cliffhanger. I think the reveal should have come before the ending, with book two diving into how the FMC handles that fallout. Instead, the cliffhanger left me more annoyed with the writing than intrigued, which is unusual for me.

That being said, I will absolutely be picking up the second book. I love Jaymin Eve, I am hooked on the overall plot, and Logan is everything 🤤 (I love a good dark bad boy). Also, the spicy scenes were perfect in my opinion. I hope the sequel brings more depth and grit, because I am excited to see where things go 🩵

Witchy Goodness!

It’s been a while since I read a really good witchy book. I really enjoyed this one! The mystery had me ensnared and wanting to find out the answers right along side Paisley! I cannot wait for Night witch to find out what happens next! My brain needs answers! Lol I need more Logan too! I have theories and cannot wait to see if I’m on the right path.

The audio was really good! I think this might have been my first with Savannah Peachwood, but it won’t be my last!

The story is intense

A must read, characters come into their own power and culminates to a dramatic cliff hanger

I thoroughly enjoyed reading and listening to this book! I have to find out when the next one is going to be published because it's going to kill me waiting to find out what happens next. I loved the character development, the storyline was written perfectly, and I was drawn into the book and did not want to put it down for any reason! I have the Kindle version and I have the audible version and the voice actors did a phenomenal job. Overall, I loved the book and I want the next one to be out right now!

Great story telling and mystery

I can’t even tell you how upset I am that I have to wait almost a year to read the next book. ☹️
