Awesome!!

This is a great continuation to the series. Josy's adventure continues to get more and more interesting. Jenetta Penner has done an awesome job building this unique world and creating these characters. I love cats so I love books with talking cats therefor I think Nine is my favorite character. I am loving this series and can't wait to start the next book. The narrator does a great job with these characters and bringing this story to life.

Awesome book 2! Nine is my fav character.

I am really loving these books that have talking cats. They are exactly how I believe my cats would think. Snarky and hard to keep focused. Nine might by my favorite character!

I really enjoyed the first book and was exciting to get into the 2nd book. Especially with how the 1st one ended. So many questions!!

Sometimes I forget how old Josy is and how innocent she is. But that is probably because I keep bouncing between Older YA novels, RH books, and academy books. The different background in the characters really make them all stand out. I did like how innocent the romance was and thought it was adorable. I think it was done really well and was not rushed at all.

A few things that I really wanted more of, they seemed important so maybe will come into play later. The statue of the founder and the breaking of the tail. I was really hoping there was more to that. I wish some of the scenes had more background and detail in them. Probably because I am really enjoying the story and just want more of it. The whole her running away when Professor Lakeshore was found dead. I get it but it just seemed very abrupt. I know that she knew that she would be judged but it did seem to make her more guilty. But I understand why she did. I need more info about the ring that she still wears. And did it really help her with the Council.

Also I am pretty sure I have the Council figured out and very interested to read further and see if I am correct. Especially with all the information we find out in the end. What is really going on?!?

This installment did not answer many questions. I feel like it just added more. What happened to her parents? What is up with the council? Who are they really? Who is the "they"? What is the curse? Why can Josy not know things too soon? What will she find out when she starts reading more about her Morelli magic.

the adventure has just begun.

Reviewer: Teresa Fallen Angel

Summary:
After making the deciding blow against the Morelli you would think that Josy’s problems at school would be over. She saved everyone’s lives, but are they any more accepting- no they are not. All Josy wants is to be left alone and to find a way to fit in. she has a few friends who accept her, but even they don’t really understand how she feels. As the only Morelli in the academy she is under scrutiny all the time.

Josy does the unthinkable in showing interest in what her Herbology teacher is working on and everyone thinks she is looking to poison someone. When a teacher is found dead everyone looks at Josy as the culprit right form the start. Things are not as the seem leaving Josy and her friends to find the truth?

This is an incredible edition this incredible series. Josy is trying to find her way in the complex magical world where the stakes a stacked against her. Being a Morelli the magical world is against her, but before she arrived a the school she didn’t even know that magic was real.

This is an incredible that was made even better by the wonderful narration that aadded to the unique flair of each character. I will be waiting for the next book in Spellcaster Academy series!

It’s good

This is the first book Jenetta Penner that I’ve listened to. She provided this audiobook for an honest review. Even though I didn’t read the first episode I was able to catch on pretty quickly what was happening in the story. The book was short but does a good job building up to the next chapter. I did feel like it ended when things were getting really good.

Josy learns more about her family, her magic abilities, starts developing a relationship with Aspen, and learns more about a curse. Overall, the book was an entertaining episode. Nothing too dramatic happens but it’s a good build up for the next episode.
