Vola, Talon, and the others may have gotten rid of Inga, but there's an even bigger bad guy out there stealing magic out of the land and its people. Luckily, the Dagger Princess has a lead, and now the team's headed to Firewatch, home of the great slumbering dragons. Just like the one that killed Talon's pack so long ago. Talon might not be interested in revenge, but she's determined to keep her new family from meeting the same fate as her old one.
However, that's going to be harder than usual. Someone is draining the magic out of the land itself, leaving dead spots in the desert. Maybe a big bad someone.
