Publisher's Summary

"For fractured souls are like magnets. Drawn to collide into an impossible bliss."

Labeled a 'Cursed' woman of Eve from birth, Maddie has endured nothing but pain and repression at the hands of The Order's most abusive elder, Moses. Now living with her sister in The Hangmen's secluded compound, finally, Maddie is free. Free from the suffocating faith she no longer believes in. Free from endless years of physical and mental torment. Just free.

At age 21, the timid and shy Maddie is content to live within the confines of her new home - safe from the outside world, safe from harm and, strangely, protected by the Hangmen's most volatile member: the heavily pierced and tattooed Flame. Flame. The man who ceaselessly watches over her with his midnight dark and searing eyes. The man who protects her with a breathtaking intensity. And the man who stirs something deep within her numbed heart. But when circumstances conspire for Flame to need her help, Maddie bravely risks it all for the broken man who has captivated her fragile soul.

The Hangmen's most infamous member, Flame is ruled by one thing - anger. Plagued by haunting demons from his past, an all-consuming rage, and isolated by an abhorrent hatred of being touched, Flame's days are filled with suffocating darkness, pierced only by a single ray of light - Maddie. The shy, beautiful woman he cannot purge from his thoughts. The woman he has an overwhelming need to possess, the only person who has ever been able to touch him. Flame's mission in life is to protect Maddie, to keep her safe. Until a trigger from his troubled past sends him spiraling into madness, trapping him in the deepest recesses of his disturbed mind. His Hangmen brothers fear that Flame is beyond saving. His only hope of salvation: Maddie and her healing light.

Flame & Maddie ~ My Favorite In The Series!

What made the experience of listening to Souls Unfractured the most enjoyable?

The emotions this story will evoke, and the angst the characters experience. Flame and Maddie are survivors who teach each other how to overcome their past and take a chance to find happiness in each other.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were so many scenes I loved! Really, anything to do with Flame. He was such a quiet character, I liked learning more about what was going through his mind, and what made him tick.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Maddie helping Flame learn to overcome being touched, and them moving forward despite their pasts.

Any additional comments?

Despite this being a dark story with many triggers, it is captivating, well written and has excellent character development. Well worth the time, and I look forward to the next book in the series!

I have been looking forward to Flame's story since I started this series and it didn't disappoint. All the twists and turns, I never saw it all coming. Very good listen, highly recommend.

Great story. Ok narration.

Love this series. Gritty and different. Sad, yet inspiring that they could find and choose each other to love.

Negative- This time the male narrator kept doing the h's voice with a slight British accent for some reason. Totally unexplainable since they are in Texas and the other cult members all talk with southern type accents. It was distracting.

FLAME MELTED MY HEART

The publishers summary is spot on. This is a very different MC series. Fitting that the MC's name is Hades Hangmen since they fight a religious cult.

I never give spoilers but I think people need a warning with this series. The cult, adult men, rape girls starting at the age of eight years old all in the name of religion. Of course, the men also have more than one wife. This series is dark, gritty, and sometimes sick.

Flame endured his own hell as a child and this is why he can't stand to be touched. The way he was treated broke my heart and angered me. I would make nasty comments out loud and my husband and son would look at me and shake their head.

Tillie Cole has once again written an all consuming series. I also love her Scarred Souls series.

J.F. Harding, Violet Strong, and Douglas Berger gave a fantastic performance.

This is absolutely worth a credit if you like dark and gritty.

I loved this book!

Great story, great narrators, great point of view on abuse, and recovery! I don't normally share my reviews, because who am I right? If your looking for mc sluts, club antics, basic mc sex scenes, ect., this would be the WRONG book for you because there is NONE! Regardess of being in the completely wrong catagory in Audible (drama would have been my sugesstion) it waa an intense listen.

Very dark and a little scary!

This audiobook is a continuation of the Hades Hangmen MC club saga. The background of the hero in this story is so dark and his coping mechanisms are very extreme. It may be disturbing and may be a trigger for some listeners, as rape is mentioned a lot. The heroine is one of the "cursed" women from the religious cult. It's also very dark in her past and the two of them together is an enigma that the club can't understand. But they are each the other's savior and without the other neither one of them will survive this life. Narration was great! By far this is the darkest book in the series as yet.

Dark but surprisingly very good spoiler alert 🚨

I think the first that they didn’t judge all churches as one . It was very dark. But a great light at the end of the tunnel . The only thing that I didn’t like that but 14-year-old girl killed that preacher .

My favorite Hangmen book to date. Freaking amazing

I can't even express with words how much I loved this book. I wanted to cry so many times during this book. From happiness and sadness. I knew I'd like the story of these two but Flame was more than I had ever hoped for. I knew there would be some deeply rooted memories like Maddie had but the way they understood each other was beautiful. The way he cared so much for her and cherished her made my heart melt. And Maddie's unbelievable strength was inspiring. It made me so unbelievably happy. And the little plot twist toward the end with the new character just made my heart melt even more. And let me just say, I am not the type to like real sappy, romantic stuff but this book got to me. These two had a love so deep, I would say it even rivaled Styx and May and they were always considered the power couple in my eyes. While that's still true, these two have a special, deeply intimate bond that I didn't know was possible. The kind of emotions they bring out in one another is just a thing of pure beauty. The writing is superb as usual, and the narration was top notch. Honestly, I usually rite longer reviews but I'm just so dumbstruck right now with how much this book affected me that I don't know what else to say other than how I love it so much. It's undoubtedly my favorite book in the entire series. I should warn you though, as all the other books do, there are graphic depictions of rape and pedophilia in these books. They are not light on details either, not something you can just skip if it triggers you. The horrible treatment of women and children lies at the core of this story between these two lovers and it makes them who they are so to skip over it would likely render the story pointless unfortunately. Personally, it was heart-wrenching and painful on some level to listen to but the redemption that comes after and the way these two find such peace from one another gave me solace and calmed my rage a bit. And Jesus, what is going on with "Brother Cain"/Rider? I mean really, what the heck!? In my review of the last book I was happy during my review that I thought the horrible practices against children within the cult were abolished but now I find out that's not the case at all. I was ready to turn my back on Rider altogether at this point, even with him being disgusted by it because the man was too stupidly naive to see how he was being manipulated. He gets a long hard dose of what cult like is for those that aren't chosen to ascend at the end of this book and I'm debating whether I want to read the next book right now or not. While the first 3 books I've eagerly devoured within a 3 day span have been beyond amazing, it's also a lot of emotional baggage since there are so many horrible things affecting these people. I think I need a break from hearing about disgusting old men harming women and children for a little while and I'll probably return in a few weeks to give the next book a shot and see how it goes with Rider and would encourage others to do the same since this series can really affect emotions from being so well-written (always the mark of a good book if you ask me). Regardless of what I do though, take a chance on this series if you aren't easily triggered; it's absolutely, utterly brilliant writing and narration.

My Favorite Book

I've listened to it multiple times. It always leaves me filled with hope. Hope for the broken and abused. Hope for true love. Yeah, a little mushy, but I dont care. We can all dream, right?

Only 1 tiny complaint...

Really enjoyed the book, even though some of it was hard to hear. I love both characters. The narration was good too, except, when the male narrator did a british-like accent for Maddie. That was not so great, but I still loved the book!

truly amazing

This is the third book in the series and my favourite so far. Possessively tormented Flame and his Maddie. Both have such haunted pasts that torment them both on a daily basis, but both can heal each other. It was great to see more of Ryder. The author has such a way of words and you can see the amount of research into certain subjects has been used to help with the characters development. Highly recommend.

Riveting, but wrenching, enthralling a definite must read

When I read Stix and Mae's story i knew I had to read the series. And I was right.. I enjoyed Lyla and Ky's. But reading this instalment was a revelation. Maddie, the small framed third youngest sister endured the most of the sisters due to the hands of brother Moses. Flame, the huge strapping, crooked nose, dark eyed, tattooed man, a tortured soul, traumatised by his past. Both Flame and Maddie find each other and realise their fractured souls can only be unfractured through their connection. Maddie finds her voice and regains her trust in men through Flame, initially through him saving her but ultimately her strength reinforces as she helps Flame cast the demons from his past that always tortures his mind.

We learn of Flame's background, his childhood and why he's called Flame. It is obvious Flame has some level of Asperger syndrome with his inability to read/understand people and his struggle in social interactions. Flame's story is gut wrenching, heart breaking and I was left emotionally drained yet also emotionally drawn to both characters. Tillie handles their initial sexual connection with great skill and care, however within a couple of sessions he's an expert and performing cunnylingus??! Lucky Maddie!!

I wanted to read Flame the most and I wasn't left disappointed.

Brilliant!

Souls Unfractured is a heart rending, yet beautiful love story. It's also book 3 in the Hades Hangmen series so it's dark and contains abuse. I highly recommend it!
