Excellent Story

My heart and soul are elated by listening to this story. The history, spiritualism, and magic are stimulating and intriguing. I wish to purchase the hardcover for my grandchildren to read. Loved the books and will look for other things from this author.

Well written

I enjoyed this story from beginning to end! The performance by Yedite Badaki was amazing.

loving the conclusion to this story

the book has its slower moments but I love how this story concludes and how there is still love (in a variety of ways) raised to the front despite a lot of hardship & pain.

Great Storytelling!

I throughly enjoyed this sequel, it did not disappoint. The vivid descriptions had me there witnessing the story. I love the history, fantasy and adventure!

A+++ across the board. This may just be my favorite from this author, but it's really hard to choose. Great work as usual.

I love these books

I can't say enough how much I love both of these books, and the narrator is incredible. There's one plot point that confuses me a little, but without spoiling it I can't say more (: I hope there will be a third book, and maybe my question will be answered there!

Love this series

A captivating listen and compelling story. The narrator’s performance is wonderful. The author’s knowledge of the content and intertwining orishas and colonization and mermaid lore makes for a fascinating read.

I wish there was more!

I loved the part two to this series and wish there was more so I could continue to experience this mystical world. Highly recommend for some black sci-fi reading.

Outstanding book!

I LOVED this book! The story was awesome and woven in is AfricanMythology, a wonderful love story, battles, and so much more. The narration was exquisite! Highly recommended!
