Publisher's summary

When invisibility is insufficient protection from his enemies, Darkmind hides in plain sight - in Ji Anna’s body.

Told from Darkmind’s perspective, Vaya Sage finds himself in a lethal game of wits while still disoriented from a black market brain scan.

While Darkmind reviews memories from previous bodies, Vaya Sage must determine whether or not to confront Darkmind. If he does, he risks mental enslavement - if he doesn’t, he may destroy everything he’s fought for.

A journey through a unique mind

Received as an audio review copy from the author this is an honest review. Narrated wonderfully by Julian Pearson, continues this epic sequel to Assassin Hunter is a beautiful, labyrinthine journey for Darkmind, as we witness not only his poignant experiences that shaped him but also how he sees his current situation along Vaya Sage. This story may be short with its chapters but then Drew Britney continues his amazing ability to pack his books with deep emotional journeys with philosophical wit. Highly recommended.

I loved book 1, and I thoroughly enjoyed book 2 as well. The narrator is amazing.

Great mix of scifi and fantasy.

I got this in a giveaway from the author and I'm glad I did. It's a thrilling story with a great mix of psionics and AI, I listened to it out of order but need to get book one in order to listen to that one. Once I started listening I couldn't put it down, deliberately went for a walk just to have more time to listen and finish the story.

Psionic Powers meets Artificial Intelligence

I listened to this out of order, I haven't read part 1 yet but now I have to. This was an interesting, dark short story with a unique plot. I enjoyed the depth of story telling around the psionics and technology working together. A great blending of sci and fantasy.

Satisfying

I liked this because it is very different than what I would normally listen to. Good characters. It leaves you wanting to know more about the story.
