Publisher's summary

It's the holiday season in the town of Ivory Beach. Rory Hawthorn and her new magical family are preparing for the festivities. But when a group of strange werewolves materializes in the library, it kicks off a series of bizarre events which appear to be lifted directly from her aunt's best-selling novels.

Not only is Rory left to hold the fort when her family falls under the effects of the spell, her growing relationship with Xavier, the local reaper, lands her in hot water with his boss - the terrifying Grim Reaper.

Can Rory fix the damage, stop the rampaging spell, and find the culprit before her life turns into a horror story?

Books Alive, Flash from the Past, PR Nightmares

We come right back to Rory struggling to work with her magic and a curse falling on the library that makes her Aunt Candace's books come alive. Rory and her relationship with Xavier are in trouble as the Reaper makes his displeasure at their connection known and a reporter and former enemy of the aunts are in town writing articles to besmirch the library's reputation in the town. A lot of action and conflict not to mention a murder. There are some touching scenes in this story as well as some extremely comical situations. The conflicts between the quirky biblio witches continues as readers have come to expect. The story itself was fun and engaging despite the laughable premise of a librarian being included in investigations but the supernatural elements of the story are fun. I will say I am becoming more annoyed with the narration and the whiny voice Hollis has chosen to give Rory, there is a continual whine emphasis placed on every line that really actually makes it difficult for me to listen to at times and takes away from just an otherwise easy listening supernatural cozy.
