Publisher's Summary

Sonic Warrior is a collection of insane-but-true stories from the career of rock radio legend Lou Brutus. Each chapter is a separate tale that careens around his 40-plus years of covering concerts, interviewing music's biggest stars, and influencing generations of radio listeners. Starting with the first show he attended and continuing to the present day, stops along the way include Live Aid in Philadelphia, the Arctic, Live Earth in London, and the New Jersey Turnpike.

Whether having his life energy drained through the palm of his hand by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, watching cocaine get snorted off a stripper's ass in Pantera's dressing room, or drooling in his own lap after smoking some kind of mutant mind warp demon weed with Snoop Dogg, Brutus gives a hilariously unvarnished look at the realities of the music industry from his fly-on-the-wall, "I'm just the guy here to interview the band" vantage point. The book also features a foreword by his friend Corey Taylor, Grammy Award-winning singer for Slipknot and Stone Sour.

The voice of my rocking teenage and years!

This man has been the calming voice of my very unstable emotional teen years. I listened to Hard Drive religiously! Rock is in my soul and Lou has been my guide to rock-and-roll. Thank you Lou for this book. I hope you write more.

Listen to Lou!

Lou makes a great narrator of his book. Listening to this was as though Lou was right next to me sharing his stories. They are awesome. I'm pretty sure he could do a second book!

Loved the book

Been a fan of Lou for years. Couldn’t wait to hear of some of his stories about meeting bands and the crazy stuff that happened to him and the book did not disappoint. Found his stories pretty entertaining.
A must read for any of the Lou Brutus hard drive fans or any fan of the rock/metal music.

MOST UNLISTENABLE AUDIBLE BOOK EVER!!!

The author's voice is so annoying I could only listen to about 15 minutes. I am not familiar with the author and radio personality and now I know why!!!!

The F-er Made Good

Even though he skipped all of high school, and the time I set him on fire on stage accidentally in a production of Dracula, yes he played the title, I the mortal who destroyed him, this is rollicking good fun. Listen. It will make you want to curse like an F-ing Rockstar! Ken
