Great ghost story

Both my husband and I have enjoyed J.D.Barker’s stories in the past and this proved to be just an enjoyable. It has a very Stephen King-ish feel to it (another favorite). The twist and turns had us engrossed all the way to the end.

Entertaining

I’ve been following J.D. since his first book which I hope he makes a part 2 someday. It was a good story easy to follow and as I said entertaining. The voice is one of my favorites and a good choice. Love a twisted, creepy,love story lol.

I can follow the story without knowing the next words, he is clear and without a bunch of filler.

I hope there are more stories in the future.
It is like sitting around a camp fire with friends and one who happens to tell the best stories.

Twisty Turny

Loved this book. Kept me guessing until the very end. Fun story that shows a lot of the true lives of teens, and the grit of dealing with adolescence and something truly wicked.

Bittersweet ending to a absolutely captivating novel

I really needed a good, refreshing story in my life. Using my credit on this book was 100% worth it. The characters are easy to follow, the twists and turns were something I truly couldn't predict almost the whole time listening. When I wasn't listening, I was still thinking about this story and where it would go next. As an avid Stephen King fan, I can promise that this book will fit well in any S.K. fan's library. Thank you Mr. J.D. Barker, I loved every second. I will be looking at your catalog to see what I'm buying next.

Haunted Summer

Fantastic coming of age ghost story… the heebie jeebies are strong with this one. Evocative setting,superior plotting, and all served up with delightful chills… Right up there with Barker’s best… Wanna comp? Summer of Night by Dan Simmons

I must not be the demographic for this book. I’ve read other JD Barker stories that were more thoughtful and complex; this just read like it was written by or for tweens.

hard to follow

I've read several books by this author and loved them. but this one was so confusing and hard to follow i had to force myself to finish it.
